Chapter 131 - CHAPTER 131

New World—somewhere above turbulent seas.

A golden beam streaked through the sky like a divine spear.

Boom!

A gunshot rang out—armament-coated bullet spiraling, aiming straight at the streak of light.

The golden beam stalled, photons gathering and condensing into human form in midair.

Borsalino—Admiral Kizaru—materialized above the waves, lazily glancing at the vessel below. His lips curled with that ever-familiar smirk as he muttered in an exaggerated tone, "Oooh~ scary… Red-Hair Pirates, huh?"

Below him, on the deck of the Red Force, stood Shanks and his core officers. Their presences radiated weight—each one of them a living legend.

"Why are you here, Kizaru?" Benn Beckman asked calmly, rifle still warm from the warning shot.

"Well~ you're all here too, aren't you?" Kizaru scratched his head in mock resignation. "What a pain~ as expected from the types who always show up when things get annoying~"

"The goal is the same," Shanks said, his tone serious for once. "Wano Country. We're here to stop the war before it fractures the world balance."

Kizaru pouted, his hands in his pockets. "I hadn't thought that far ahead~ but now that you're here, this war's probably not going anywhere~"

Originally, Borsalino had intended to assess the battlefield in Wano—see whether he could quietly support Carl, a key figure of the Navy's inner circle. If neither Big Mom nor Red-Hair had arrived, maybe he could've helped Carl remove Kaido—clean, efficient, within acceptable collateral.

But now? With Shanks here? A direct clash between the Navy and a Yonko crew would only hasten chaos.

"You should probably come with us," Beckman said coldly, gun still aimed.

"Eeeeh~ so scary~" Kizaru raised his hands lazily. With a soft hum, his light body flickered—and in the blink of an eye, he was already seated on a lounge chair aboard the Red Force, legs crossed.

"Well~ since we're all headed to Wano, I might as well catch a ride~"

His tone was casual—deliberately so—but that only made the Red-Hair Pirates more annoyed.

"He's mocking us…"

"He's an Admiral!"

"This bastard…"

Their muttering brimmed with unease, but Shanks raised a hand. "Let it go. We're on the same side for now."

But across the sea, they weren't the only ones moving.

In another region of the New World, a lone figure pedaled a bicycle across a trail of freezing ocean.

Where his wheels touched, the sea froze.

**Kuzan—formerly Admiral Aokiji—**rode silently. The recent chaos at Totto Land, where Carl and Katakuri had clashed, had thrown the balance into disarray. The suddenness of the event had caught the world off guard.

Now, all eyes were turning toward Wano.

Wano Country – Flower Capital.

Hah… Hah…

Kaido's breath came out in visible steam, his massive chest rising and falling like a blacksmith's bellows. Faint tongues of flame flickered from his lips.

"Brat…" his eyes burned with fury.

One full day.

He had fought Solomon Carl and his daughter Yamato for an entire day!

Carl, breathing evenly, casually flicked the blood off his sword. Behind him, a massive blood-colored beast, formed from advanced Conqueror's Haki and something new, glared at Kaido with primal fury.

Yamato stood nearby, panting heavily. Though strong, her endurance couldn't compare to Carl or Kaido—true monsters born of unnatural training and fate.

Carl glanced at the floating system menu in his mind.

Finally. It's complete.

Boom!

Off in the distance, **Issho—Admiral Fujitora—**crushed Queen the Plague, slamming his massive gravity-forged blade into the ground. The mecha-enhanced Brachiosaurus buckled, circuits fried.

"My apologies, Your Excellency Carl," Fujitora muttered. "Progress was slower than I expected."

Fujitora's challenge had been different. Jin and Queen—both All-Stars—weren't like Jack, who fought purely with brute strength.

Jin's sharp instincts, paired with his Ancient Zoan's aerial agility, made him a dangerous tactician.

Queen, on the other hand, used mecha augmentations, virus-based attacks, and unconventional tricks. An unpredictable, hybridized fighter. Against them, Fujitora had needed to restrain himself to avoid unnecessary civilian harm.

"It's fine," Carl replied calmly. "I didn't expect to bring the Beasts Pirates down in one go."

After all, this was a Yonko crew. The Beasts Pirates had weathered decades of war. They wouldn't fall like rookies.

Then—his eyes widened.

In his mind, the system prompt blinked.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, on successfully checking in at the special sign-in location: Wano Country!]

[Reward: Void Genome – The Power of the King! (Note: This ability originates from the world of Guilty Crown.)]

[Reward issued. Please check system inventory.]

The world seemed to freeze.

Carl stood motionless, sensation flooding his body. Knowledge and instinct he had never possessed before now surged through his veins.

"This is…" He raised his right hand, slowly clenching his fist. "Void Genome?"

"Oi! Brat!" Kaido roared, his monstrous voice shaking the ground. "Get back here and fight me!"

But this time, Carl didn't meet him head-on.

He moved—not fast, but fluid, like air. His afterimage remained as he vanished from Kaido's sight.

Boom!

Kaido's dragon claws tore into the earth, leaving a gaping crater.

"Coward!" he bellowed, furious. "Where's that strength from earlier?! Fight me like a man!"

But Carl merely glanced at him sideways. He seemed… elsewhere.

He drifted through the air like a leaf on wind, whispering:

"So that's it… I get it now."

"This power… is fascinating."

[Void Genome – Ability of the King]

Carl's right hand now pulsed with a unique light—resonant, vibrant.

With it, he could extract the inner void—physical manifestations of personality, dreams, or powers—from others.

A dangerous, borderline divine ability.

One suited only for a "King."

For Flowers·

In short, Carl's unique Void Extraction ability allows him to materialize powerful Void Weapons directly from his companions—manifestations shaped by their inner selves.

The weapons pulled out vary based on the user's will, identity, and emotional core—each one a projection of their deepest personality or beliefs.

"Then, my companion this time…"

Carl's pupils glowed faintly crimson as his Observation Haki swept the battlefield, reading presence and spiritual resonance.

At the moment, the only companions nearby were Yamato and Issho (Fujitora), both having fought on his side. But Issho was stationed further away, and Carl wasn't sure if extracting a weapon from a companion would cause a temporary power drain.

No matter how he analyzed it, the only viable candidate was—

His eyes shifted slightly.

Carl turned to Yamato, who stood close at his side, her kanabo still humming with Haoshoku Haki.

With a faint, mysterious grin tugging at the corner of his mouth, Carl asked, "Can I borrow your strength?"

"Eh?"

Behind the snarling Hannya-style mask, Yamato blinked in confusion.

"Wait, what do you mean?" Her voice carried a mix of curiosity and nervousness. "Didn't I already help you?"

"No, I mean I have an ability. One that might need your full cooperation," Carl said, tone calm but eyes flashing knowingly.

Yamato instinctively took a step back. That sly grin unsettled her.

But she glanced again at Kaido, who towered in the distance, his massive form exhaling steam and rage like an enraged dragon god—his Azure Dragon form fully awakened.

Realizing what was at stake, Yamato gritted her teeth and exhaled deeply.

"…Alright! What do you need me to do?"

"It's simple—just don't resist," Carl said, stepping forward with no warning.

In an instant, his figure blurred, then reappeared directly in front of Yamato!

His right hand, glowing with space-altering waves, stretched out and touched her chest, as if pushing through reality itself.

"You—!?"

Yamato's eyes shot wide open, cheeks flushing under the mask. "W-What are you doing?!"

"Shh—" Carl remained composed. "Just focus."

His hand disappeared into her chest—no pain, no injury. Just a strange spatial distortion, like reality had opened up.

From her chest, a silver-white void gate appeared, swirling like the eye of a storm.

"This is—" Yamato's pupils contracted. She could feel something inside her—an echo of her essence being tugged outward.

Hummmm—

The air vibrated. The space distorted.

And finally—from the depths of the void, a weapon slowly formed in Carl's hand!

"Come out!"

Carl's crimson eyes narrowed in focus as the shape solidified—a massive, mechanical construct took form in his grip.

It wasn't a sword, nor a kanabo.

It was…

A cannon.

No—more than that.

A "Vulcan Cannon"! An industrialized, sci-fi monstrosity, glowing with heat vents and rotary barrels!

Carl's face twitched, unable to hide his bewilderment.

"Why…why is it a gun?!"

His hands trembled slightly as he stared at the enormous rotary cannon—a weapon utterly foreign to Wano, to the pirate world itself!

"This is the world of One Piece, right?! This is Wanokuni! Where even flintlocks are rare and samurai rule the battlefield!"

"And Yamato's personality is supposed to be the samurai-princess type! How does this kind of futuristic heavy artillery come out of her soul?!"

In the distance, Kaido finally noticed something strange.

His brow twitched.

"What…did you just pull out of my stupid kid?!"

Kaido's draconic voice rumbled, mixing curiosity and menace.

Carl's hand had disappeared into Yamato's chest, and now he held some bizarre, rotating death-machine.

Even Kaido, who had seen Charlotte Linlin pull living souls into clouds and fire, was slightly stumped.

"What kind of power is that…?"

He didn't understand it, but after fighting Carl, neither did he need to.

A man who could warp space, slash down Tobiroppo, summon void weapons, and face Admirals without blinking—how many abilities did this guy have?

But Kaido, being Kaido, could only snort and crack his knuckles.

Whether or not it made sense, he'd just smash it.

And Carl?

He adjusted his grip on the Vulcan Cannon, smirked, and leveled it with Kaido's chest.

"Time to test fire," he muttered. "Let's see what kind of damage a samurai soul can do…"
