All of them stood completely dumbfounded by the human being before them. The director, after a long pause, asked a single question:
"Are you stupid?"
Lee averted his gaze, sighing. "If I join the student council, I'll attract too much attention," he muttered.
Cristal, the white-haired girl, scoffed. "You're too ugly for anyone to pay attention to you."
Lee turned to her, betrayed. "Not you too! I thought at least you'd be on my side!"
"Ugh, shut up, you idiot," Bolt snapped. "You just unleashed a bloodlust so intense it could strike fear into even the strongest of us—just because you didn't want to join the damn council?"
Lee crossed his arms, grumbling under his breath. "Well, when you put it like that, it does sound kinda bad…"
"Kinda?" Bolt scoffed, rubbing his temples as if dealing with a headache. "Listen, dumbass, if you really didn't want to be in the council, you could've just said no. Instead, you nearly gave us all heart attacks!"
Cristal let out an exaggerated sigh, shaking her head. "Honestly, I don't know whether to be impressed or just concerned for your mental state."
The director, who had been silently observing the exchange, finally exhaled, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Enough. Whether you like it or not, you are now part of the student council. You proved yourself capable, and that's all that matters."
Lee opened his mouth to protest, but the director shot him a sharp look. "And no, you cannot refuse."
Lee groaned, slumping his shoulders. "Great… So much for keeping a low profile."
Cristal smirked. "You lost that chance the moment you stepped into this academy, dumbass."
Bolt huffed, crossing his arms. "Try not to kill anyone with that ridiculous bloodlust next time."
Lee rolled his eyes, muttering, "No promises."
The director clapped his hands, drawing their attention back. "Now that that's settled, follow me. We have much to discuss."
With that, the meeting truly began.
With a wave of his hand, chairs materialized before them. Gesturing for them to sit, the director turned his gaze toward the entrance.
Moments later, ten students entered the room, each clad in the student council uniform. Their presence alone exuded an overwhelming aura—one that left no doubt about their status. These were the strongest individuals in the academy.
Here is a description of each of the student's from left to right.
Asher Valen
A tall young man with a lean build, neatly combed dark blue hair, and silver-rimmed glasses. His deep violet eyes seem to glow slightly under the magical lights. He wears a pristine uniform with intricate golden embroidery on the cuffs and collar.
Elara Wynne
A toned, athletic girl with fiery red hair tied into a loose ponytail. Her golden eyes are sharp and intense. Her uniform is slightly modified, with rolled-up sleeves and a combat belt around her waist.
Darius Kain
A towering, muscular figure with dark brown skin and cropped black hair. His sharp yellow eyes give him a commanding presence. His uniform is slightly tighter due to his broad build, and his hands are wrapped in leather gloves.
Sylphine Ravenn
A petite girl with long, silver-white hair that cascades down her back. Her piercing ice-blue eyes are framed by long lashes. Her uniform is sleek and fitted, allowing for swift movement.
Orion Luxford
A tall and broad-shouldered young man with golden-blonde hair neatly combed back. His bright azure eyes give off a noble air. His uniform is crisp, and a silver emblem is pinned to his chest.
Selena Noctis
A graceful young woman with long, raven-black hair that flows like silk. Her amethyst-colored eyes hold a mysterious gleam. She wears a dark-blue cloak over her uniform, which drapes elegantly over her shoulders.
Kael Drayton
A rugged young man with shaggy brown hair and tanned skin. His emerald-green eyes are wild and alert. His uniform is slightly messy, with his sleeves rolled up and a few strands of vines wrapped around his wrist.
Valencia Crowe
A slender, sharp-featured girl with short black hair that barely reaches her shoulders. Her narrow silver eyes have a piercing intensity. She wears fingerless gloves, and faint glowing tattoos trace up her forearms.
Lucien Voss
A pale young man with long, silver hair that reaches past his shoulders. His scarlet-red eyes stand out against his porcelain skin. His uniform is immaculate, but the crimson accents on his sleeves make him look slightly ominous.
Evelyn Astraea
An ethereal-looking girl with platinum-blonde hair that shimmers under the light. Her violet eyes seem almost otherworldly. Her uniform is pristine, and the way she carries herself makes her seem as if she's floating rather than walking.
As more chairs materialized, everyone took their seats, ready for discussion.
The director cleared his throat and addressed the room.
"As you all know, these are our new recruits for this year. There are only three of them because they were the only ones capable of grasping the situation and acting accordingly. Two more will be selected tomorrow in the next challenge, but for now, let's begin our discussion."
Before anyone could respond, Sylphine raised a hand.
"Sir, before we proceed, there's something I need to say."
The director nodded. "Go ahead."
Pointing directly at Kaelen, she spoke with unwavering confidence.
"This boy… there are two of him."
Lee's eyes widened in shock. Did she figure it out? Did she realize the truth about Kaelen and him?
She continued, her gaze sharp. "I can sense two distinct mana signatures—one from his heart and another lingering around him. It feels like an ego weapon is attached to him… I want to see it."
The room fell silent. All eyes turned to Lee.
With a blank expression, he exhaled and spoke in a calm tone. "Drakmor, reveal yourself."
In an instant, a powerful presence filled the room. Drakmor materialized into his physical form, his eerie aura spreading across the chamber like an unshakable force.
The students sat frozen in shock. An ego weapon that could take on a physical form? Not just that, but one exuding such an overwhelming presence…
This was unlike anything they had ever seen.
