Allen leisurely sheathed his sword, surveying the trio before him.

Eris and Rudeus wore identical expressions of bewilderment, unable to grasp the significance of his "close eyes, draw, open eyes" demonstration. But Ghislaine—

Ghislaine froze.

The slash had been fast.

But not as fast as the Soundless Sword.

On the surface, it was unremarkable.

Yet—

There had been no killing intent.

Not a single wisp.

It reminded her of that rainy night, when Allen's decapitating strike had slipped through the downpour—undetectable, devoid of malice, fooling even Jirudo's combat instincts into mistaking him for a harmless passerby.

Just like the falling leaf now.

Back then, Ghislaine had assumed her exhaustion dulled her senses.

But here, mere feet away, she still felt nothing.

No matter how faint, a blade swung with intent should carry some trace of aggression—

Unless it wasn't swung with intent at all.

Her golden eyes widened.

"This is—"

Allen rubbed his temples, fatigue evident.

"One of the Water God Style's Five Great Secret Techniques—Mizu no Kokoro (Mind Flow)."

"Similar to the Sword God Style in principle, but where Sword God focuses on actively targeting and striking, this relies on passively sensing environmental shifts—then reacting."

"I only grasped it after mastering the Soundless Sword. Both require extreme mental focus, but Sword God channels that focus into action, while Water God lets it guide reaction."

Ghislaine's lips parted. "You're describing—"

"A fusion of Mizu no Kokoro and Kankaku no Nagare (Sensory Flow)." Allen nodded.

"Perceive all changes. The instant something shifts, the sword moves—severing the source of that change."

"This… is the Severing Realm."

Silence.

Eris, ever eager, broke it: "What's the Severing Realm?"

Ghislaine's voice turned reverent.

"The signature technique of the Water God, Lady Reida. Within its range, any movement—whether strike, step, or breath—is met with a blade already in motion."

"Even the Light Sword can't beat it?"

"Unless you sever her wrists before she activates the realm, the moment you think of drawing, your hands are gone."

Eris' gaze flicked to Allen, sparkling. "How do I become Water God?!"

"Master three of the Five Great Techniques. But—" Ghislaine shook her head. "The Severing Realm isn't one. It's Lady Reida's own creation, surpassing all five."

"That's why she's Water God—not just another Water Emperor."

Eris' excitement visibly deflated when Allen, massaging his temples, offered no further commentary.

The Evening Gown Incident

Hilda's "bedroom" was less a sleeping chamber and more a sprawling suite. Sunlight poured through floor-to-ceiling windows—clear, practical glass, unlike the stained panes of the dining hall—drenching the parlor in gold.

Four doors led deeper into unknown quarters.

As shadows danced across the floor (courtesy of swaying tree branches outside), Hilda guided Sylphie to the nearest door on the left—

—revealing a wardrobe that stopped her breath.

Dozens of dresses, meticulously arranged by size, lined the walls:

A delicate white sundress with embroidered hem.

A frilly Gothic l0lit4 piece with layered petticoats.

A corseted ivory gown with silver threading.

A sapphire blouse with tasseled sleeves, paired with a flowing skirt.

A chic black-and-white tea dress, complete with a wide-brimmed hat.

And at the far end—

A low-cut evening gown.

Draped over a mannequin, adorned with a silver pendant and choker, it radiated elegance.

No wonder Eris refused these.

They were too feminine—the kind of garments that would absolutely hinder swordplay.

Hilda's fingers trailed along the fabrics, her gaze flicking between Sylphie and the options—

—before landing squarely on the evening gown.

Sylphie's ears flattened in horror.
