Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: He's Actually This Strong

Chapter 56: He's Actually This Strong

At this very moment, the events unfolding in the Hokage's Office had the potential to impact not just the entire Uchiha clan but the whole of Konoha.

It could even lead to the rekindling of the recently halted Third Shinobi World War.

The consequences of such a dire incident were immeasurable.

However, the vast majority of the Uchiha clan members remained unaware of what was happening.

Led by Uchiha Fugaku, they had just returned to their clan's district.

Right now, Fugaku was organizing a memorial ceremony for the fallen Uchiha warriors who had perished on the battlefield.

Only after honoring the dead would they consider holding a victory celebration for the living.

The other clans were in similar situations.

The entire village of Konoha was still immersed in the joy and relief of the war's end.

Only a handful of perceptive shinobi had taken notice of the commotion at the Hokage's building. After all, the uproar caused by Uchiha Dali's Rasengan had not gone unnoticed.

Sensing something unusual, these keen-nosed shinobi immediately rushed toward the Hokage's Office, eager to uncover the truth.

Uchiha Dali had long since understood the abilities of Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan.

So when Shisui uttered, "I'm sorry," Dali was already on guard.

He had assumed that Shisui would immediately use Kotoamatsukami on him.

Yet, surprisingly, Shisui did not.

The moment Shisui activated his Mangekyō, the fight between them became a game—one that only they were playing.

The surrounding Anbu halted their attacks.

"Leave it to that man," the leading Anbu captain reminded his subordinates.

Meanwhile, hidden behind his layers of protection, Shimura Danzo's eyes flashed with greed upon witnessing Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan.

"You're really going to stand against me?"

Uchiha Dali effortlessly evaded Shisui's attack, using his advanced Flying Thunder God Technique to instantly appear behind him.

The two stood back-to-back, less than a meter apart.

"If this is the only way to make you calm down, then I have no choice but to try," Shisui replied.

"With just your Body Flicker Technique? You can't keep up with me, Shisui. You should know that," Dali warned one last time.

But Shisui ignored his words.

Without hesitation, he launched another attack.

Disappointed, Dali decided to stop holding back. The moment Shisui turned to face him, he had already counterattacked.

In this instant, the full power of his advanced Flying Thunder God was unleashed.

Before anyone could blink, Dali's kunai was pressed against Shisui's throat.

Just a little more pressure, and the so-called strongest Uchiha would be dead on the spot.

Shisui was drenched in cold sweat, shaken by Dali's terrifying speed.

The observing Anbu and Danzo himself were equally stunned, their expressions filled with shock.

Even Shisui couldn't believe it—his prized Body Flicker Technique was utterly useless against Dali.

"So fast!"

An Anbu member finally snapped out of his daze, exclaiming in disbelief.

"He… he took down the feared Shisui of the Body Flicker in a single move?! Is he really that strong?!"

Another Anbu shivered, goosebumps rising all over his body. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed it.

"No wonder there were rumors about him on the battlefield…"

A third Anbu started to speak but abruptly stopped, swallowing his words.

Even so, his reaction revealed a crucial piece of information.

Many shinobi in Konoha, including these Anbu, had heard tales of Uchiha Dali's feats in battle.

They simply weren't allowed to talk about them due to orders from higher-ups.

Dali heard and noted all of this.

At the same time, an idea began to form in his mind.

His kunai remained at Shisui's throat, and the latter dared not move an inch.

"I already told you—your speed is no match for mine," Dali scoffed.

Then, with a mocking tone, he continued, "They say you're the Uchiha's prodigy, but I fail to see what's so impressive about you."

"You heard them just now, didn't you?"

Dali turned his gaze toward the Anbu who had spoken earlier.

Fixing his eyes on the one who hesitated, he asked, "You all know full well the contributions the Uchiha clan made in this war, don't you?"

"And yet, despite that, we are being treated so unfairly, and you dare to pin the blame on us? I only came here to demand justice."

"If words won't work, then I'll speak with my fists!"

With those final words, Uchiha Dali turned his piercing gaze toward Danzo.

Danzo's face darkened with fury. Provoked yet again, his eyes burned with murderous intent.

"What are you waiting for? Take him down!" Danzo roared.

But this time, the Hokage's Anbu hesitated.

First, Dali's overwhelming speed had already proven he was beyond Shisui.

Even if they attacked, they knew they wouldn't stand a chance.

Second, Dali's words had struck a nerve.

They weren't blind—they could see how unfairly the Uchiha were being treated.

And more importantly, they didn't take orders from Danzo.

They exchanged uncertain glances but remained motionless.

Seeing no other choice, Danzo stepped forward himself.

He approached Dali slowly, an oppressive aura radiating from him, making those around feel uneasy.

But it was all a distraction.

At that moment, a system notification echoed in Dali's mind:

[Ding! Detected a powerful genjutsu from Uchiha Shisui. Your Three Tomoe Sharingan has automatically evolved into the Mangekyō Sharingan!]

[The Mangekyō Sharingan—a Bloodline Limit exclusive to the Uchiha, surpassing the standard Sharingan. It grants vastly superior genjutsu, perception, and replication abilities, along with unlocking unique individual powers.]
