Tim's eyes were dark with fury as he slammed the tablet onto the sleek mahogany table. Ever since the morning hours passed, everything pissed him off.
"Who signed off on this report?" he demanded, his voice calm in the way only his dangerous side could be.
The boardroom went silent.
A few men exchanged nervous glances. One of the junior executives stuttered, "Mr. Carter, we…. we thought Richard had your go-ahead…"
"Richard?" Tim scoffed, his jaw tightening. "That man wouldn't know loyalty if it slapped him in the face. Do you think I built this empire to have him toss it around like a game of poker?"
No one dared answer.
