BACKSTORY:
It was a typical afternoon for Tim. The house was quiet, just the sound of the distant hum of air conditioning and the rustling of papers as he sat in his study.
At 17, he was already well-acquainted with the pressure of academics, his future, and his family's expectations. But none of that mattered much to him right now, they only did at night, when her presence was no longer around him.
Aurora.
He was waiting for her. To see her, using her lousy step-sister, Anne as an excuse for him.
Anne had always been the type to approach him with requests for help—academic help. He knew they weren't just for academics. She wanted every chance to be around him and now to make things more disgusting, they had to meet every afternoon for the past two years.
Tim couldn't exactly say no to his mother when she asked him to assist Anne with her studies, though he'd prefer to be anywhere else. His mother wasn't exactly the reason why he accepted their meeting.
