Chapter 64 - I’m Different

Lingyin is a naturally strong-willed person, just as she presents herself in front of others. No matter what she does, she strives to do her best.

For example, as a cloud player, she wants to be the one with the most theoretical knowledge among cloud players.

Now, facing YN, a real player, it turns out that Lingyin, the cloud player, speaks very convincingly. She starts by discussing the equipment for beginners, analyzing the pros and cons and functions in detail.

Then she talks about the current version's strongest support character, Jekyll, analyzing from all aspects why it is strong, where its strengths lie, and how to use it best.

Unfortunately, Lingyin doesn't talk for long before she realizes it's almost time for their appointment, so she stops.

[00]: I have something to do, I'll leave first. I'll continue to talk to you when I have time.

[YN]: Okay, thank you, I've learned a lot.

After closing the forum and getting out of bed to get dressed, Lingyin feels very good, after all, she has made a new friend, and in such a place.

One can only say they share the same interests.

...

Bai Ningning arrives first at the No. 3 lounge, familiar with the place since it used to be the activity room of the anime club.

However, she is not the first to arrive. At the first gathering of the new semester and new club, everyone is very enthusiastic, and there are already about ten people in the activity room.

Some are sitting together playing mobile games, while others are gathered around a large table playing board games. Just as President Lingyin said, there's food and drink, and anything goes.

The Heavenly Emperor is directing the board game when he looks up and sees, "Oh, sister… Bai Ningning, you're here."

Several people nearby also look up, their eyes lighting up. They have long heard that the club has the most beautiful girl from Xicheng University, who tops the list in both appearance and figure, but unfortunately, they hadn't had the chance to meet her before. Seeing her today, it's indeed true that seeing is believing; the rumors on the forum do not deceive me.

The boys feel a bit shy, but several girls boldly walk over to greet her.

"You are Bai Ningning, I've heard about you for a long time, and you're really amazing."

"Yeah, just as everyone said on the forum."

"You look even better in person than in photos, and you look older too."

"Bai Ningning, how did you grow up so well? Can you teach me?"

As Lingyin just arrives at the No. 3 activity room, she sees the female protagonist from her mind's little scene—Bai Ningning—surrounded by a group of girls, smiling sweetly.

She immediately recalls the plot from the ladies' writings.

No, no, no, no, no, this won't do, this won't do.

Lingyin strides over, pulls Bai Ningning out, and says to the others, "Sorry, I need to borrow her for a moment."

Pulling Bai Ningning to a corner, ensuring no one can hear, she says, "Bai Ningning, you need to be more careful!"

Bai Ningning blinks in confusion, "Careful about what?"

"About girls. You already have a girlfriend, yet you're surrounded by a bunch of girls," Lingyin whispers, "and there are so many of them."

Bai Ningning is puzzled, "So what if they're girls? We're all girls."

In the ladies' little articles, there are all girls too, and it's not like… well, you know, that kind of thing, right?

Lingyin doesn't know how to explain clearly: "In short, just be careful, don't get too close to girls, don't have such close contact. What if they pretend to be normal girls and openly enjoy the benefits?"

She has seen several stories written by ladies on the forum that ended badly like this.

Bai Ningning is taken aback: "Are there really people like that?"

"Plenty," Lingyin says seriously, "just be careful of every girl around you."

Bai Ningning tilts her head in the opposite direction: "Including you?"

"I'm different," Lingyin says instinctively.

"What's different about you?"

"I… I…"

I only think about it, I wouldn't really do that… at least not for now.

Lingyin stands there awkwardly, stammering and unsure of what to say. Fortunately, at that moment, another girl wearing glasses walks over to help break the tension.

"President," she says, "Nainai sent a message saying her foot isn't feeling well and she can't come today. She asked me to help her ask for leave."

Bai Ningning perks up.

Is her foot not feeling well because of that cramp last time?

Tsk, the little loli really can't handle it; a cramp can hurt for several days.

"Not feeling well? Then you should rest more," Lingyin says, "but next time, for things like this, just ask me directly for leave."

What's with sending messages to others to ask for leave?

The girl with glasses smiles awkwardly: "She's timid and feels embarrassed about asking for leave, so she didn't dare to tell you directly."

Lingyin's fiery personality as president is well-known.

"Alright, I understand. Go have fun."

After the girl with glasses leaves, Bai Ningning speaks up: "Nainai, is she the girl who looks very young? You've made her a core member too?"

"Yeah," Lingyin says as a matter of course, "she looks very cute and is a somewhat famous artist, totally qualified."

With such a loli, don't even think about making her do anything; just having her around as a mascot is very useful.

"I'll go check on them and arrange the activities," Lingyin turns around and says, "but remember what I just told you!"

'Still holding onto that, huh?'

Bai Ningning nodded and asked her back, "By the way, when will you teach me to dance at home?"

Lingyin frowned, thinking, wasn't it supposed to be you dancing for me? How did it turn into me teaching you?

But then again, if Bai Ningning really doesn't know how to dance at all, then I really have to teach her first.

"Next week, next weekend," Lingyin said, "I'll specifically book a dance studio to teach you!"

Now, she needed to arrange activities for everyone and find some free time for herself to browse the forum.

Lingyin left, and Bai Ningning wandered around the activity room before returning to sit alone in a corner.

Games, board games, script murders, and so on, she didn't dislike them, but she didn't know anyone here, so it wasn't very interesting. If Nainai had come today, she could have done something with the loli junior.

Speaking of Nainai, she wondered how her foot was doing.

Bai Ningning took out her phone and sent a message to Nainai.

[Ningning doesn't know]: Nainai junior, I heard your foot is uncomfortable. Is it because of the cramp last time?

[Nainai is getting better]: Yes, it is, senior.

Maybe afraid that Bai Ningning would misunderstand, she quickly sent another message.

[Nainai is getting better]: Senior, it felt much better after the massage, but it's still a bit uncomfortable. I heard adults say that it takes a hundred days to heal from a sprain. If it weren't for you, senior, I might have been in pain for a long time.

Cough, that's not the case; you just had a cramp, not a fracture.

[Ningning doesn't know]: How do you feel now? Do you need me to help you again?

The loli junior hurriedly sent two messages.

[Nainai is getting better]: No, no, no need, thank you, senior.

[Nainai is getting better]: I'm almost better.
