"Update me, Roy," I barge in, raging—with a million thoughts going on and off.
"Alpha." Roy stands like he was expecting me, his suit unbuttoned, a coffee lying carelessly on the table, and the atmosphere is foul.
"Don't Alpha me, what's going on?" I'm so close to bashing his teeth in from anger. The council meeting was suspended due to persistent denial of any attempts from me.

He is reliable, but I need him to Goddamn take this seriously.
