I stormed through the halls, the stone walls of the castle seemingly closed in on me as I barked orders at my guards. "Find her! She can't have gone far. Spread out and search every inch of the grounds. If anyone sees her, bring her back to me immediately."
The guards scattered, their armor clinking as they rushed to obey my command. I grabbed my sword from its stand, the cool metal hilt grounding me, sharpening my focus. She had to be found. She had to be brought back.
I had to apologize for being such a dickhead.
"Your Majesty," a guard approached me, his voice hesitant, "we have reports of movement near the southern border. It might be her."
"Then why are you standing here telling me?" I snapped, already moving past him. "Let's go."
