Every Road is on the Way
"Is it inconvenient?"
Tiffany knew Calvin's special status—it was entirely possible that his car couldn't be lent out casually
. "If it's not convenient, I can—"
"Convenient,"
Calvin interrupted softly, his voice warm.
"I'll take you there tomorrow."
Before Tiffany could refuse, he continued, "Just happens to be on my way."
On the way?
Tiffany looked at Calvin, a flicker of surprise flashing in her eyes.
But she hadn't even told him where she was going yet.
Suddenly, a phrase she'd once read popped into her mind: *For someone who wants to take you, every road is on the way.*
Was that what Calvin was thinking?
By the time Tiffany realized what she was pondering, her long, delicate lashes fluttered slightly.
"What are you thinking?
Maybe he's just being a gentleman."
Seeing that Calvin had already shifted his focus to his computer, his expression intense with concentration, Tiffany decided not to disturb him further.
