Syvarn quickly shut down the display, fingers flying over the keys as he began encrypting the lab's systems.
The lights in the room dimmed slightly as the lockdown override triggered.
"Drask, think about the plan later," he said without looking up.
"Right now, we need to move."
Drask stood beside him, arms tense, yellow eyes scanning the lab walls.
"You think they've found us?"
Syvarn nodded. "I'm sure of it."
"The serum's signal—it was active long enough."
"They could've traced it back to this location."
Drask took a deep breath, jaw tight. "So it's time to run."
"Yes," Syvarn replied. "Our base is compromised."
Drask crossed his arms.
"But if they can still track the serum—then even if we leave, they'll just follow again."
"I've already handled that," Syvarn said, turning to a separate terminal.
"I developed a way to block the signal. It's closed off now—shut completely. No more tracing. But…"
He looked over his shoulder at Drask.
