The next day,king Aethon came out of his office forgetting that he left someone outside his office.He looked at the young lady in front of him.He could not deny the fact that the girl was breathtakingly beautiful .
She had a long blonde hair that fits perfectly to her skin.I could see the bruises on her skin which fueled my anger and wished to bring hell on that person.Seeing her made my heart beat in ways I have forgotten.I called myself out of my delusions remembering she is a human.That word human attached to her made me hate her instantly and promised myself to stop whatever feelings she was creating in me.I will make her life miserable.The moon goddess must be so stupid if this was the girl prophesied to make my heart beat again.We made a bet and with what I am seeing,she was never going to win. King Aethon immediately ordered his guards make her feel pain and let's her know this is not her father's house.The guards hurriedly hit twinkle sharply on the back knowing that the king's order was not something to be taken lightly else your head will bear the cross.Meanwhile,twinkle was sleeping soundly when she felt a sharp pain at her back.She jolted in shock .Tears almost forming at her eyes.She was about to talk when she noticed the man standing in front of her.He was tall with a blue eyes able to enchant any soul that gazed on it.His aura that commands royalty.Even a fool will know that this was a king and he was not someone to mess up with.
Take her to the slave quarters.King Aethon said .I stood there transfixed asking myself if I should talk or not .I could not bear another life of slavery,I kept shaking my head that I did not know when I shouted No! That's not the plan.Am I not meant to be a sacrifice?I cannot trade one prison for another prison.Before I knew it,King Aethon who was almost going turned swiftly to me ,his fang which I just noticed deep into neck.He carried me up and threw me against the wall and threw me on the floor and said my words are not to be argued.I was bleeding,he then hissed and said sacrifice , looks like you were not enlightened,He scoffed and left.The head maid which was an old woman helped me up and asked me to follow her.I could not bear it again.Tears flowed my eyes uncontrollably,here I was expecting a peaceful death at last and here I am entering into a life in hell.This was just the beginning.I followed the woman like a fool still in shock at the fangs, king Aethons eyes.When I looked around,I noticed we were at a place like a small hospital where a lady came out and dressed my wound.
She asked the woman,was it the king that did this?The woman answered Yes!
She asked me what is your name but I was silent still processing what had happened.Its like she understood what I was going through,patted me at my back.The woman took me to a room .It was disgusting.Everywhere smelled of blood and rotten food.I felt like throwing up.The woman said drop your bag and come to the kitchen now.Are all these people wicked or is it just me?
For once in my life,the word suicide seems to sits well in me ,I can't continue like this I said before stepping out not wanting to incur any punishment.The pain I felt in my body is so much that I can't imagine adding another one.
I was given loads of work to do and it seems like everyone who were there hated me and despise me like I had done something very very bad.It was through their gossip which I eaves dropped that I learnt that the room given to me was hunted and that many people died there.
I worked all through that night beign the only one awake.I was so afraid beign the only one awake in a land of mystery.I had not eaten anything that day,my stomach growled to remind me,my body looking like one drained of all it's energy.I walked back to my room so exhausted,I could not clean my room that day.I just lied down not caring of the surroundings and entered my peaceful realm.
I woke up the next morning feeling energized when I heard a knock at my door.King Aethon is calling you now!I mummured wondering what it is when I noticed something crawling on my leg .I looked and Lo and behold it was what I least expected maggots,not one, two,five but many.I shouted so loud that if my voice could bring down the castle it will.Before I knew it,the king Atheon and some pack members were in my room.I could sware that the king was worried but he silently chuckled and said let me not get there before you,If you know what is waiting for you,you would know that this is a sign that your doom is near
.Other members left except one girl.She looked at me her eyes full of hatred.She then left.I looked at myself.Something was off about her but I could not place my hands on it.The crawling in my leg brought me back of my wonderland and I immediately ran to the bathroom to wash it off.The bathroom was so dirty.I knew that if I ever missed bathing.I might not bath again.I took my bath in the dirty bathroom and ran out.The castle was so big .I looked in every corner but it looked like every path I followed led me to a different heaven.I finally met the doctor who treated me and asked her if she knew where king Atheos is ,she smiled and took me there.On reaching there,I saw the king with some guards training.He looked and said you are late!I scoffed at him and said ''are you afraid that I will escape from a monster like you''?
The king came closer to her but twinkle wanting to annoy him the more said.Do you miss me.Am I not a maid?Why does it look like my presence affect you so much?
The king was very angry,his eyes golden yellow as he approached twinkle,his veins all popped out.The very word which he knew was true but wished that it was a lie.Twinkle immediately regretted her words seeing how angry the king was.She knew that she was in for a big problem.Suddenly,king Atheos stopped in his track,his face curved immediately to a deadly smile.He turned to the guards and said take her to the dungeon.The way everybody sounded with their mouth opened.I knew that I had gotten myself into real trouble.I begged him crying telling him that I have not eaten but instead he said.You should have thought of that before spilling out nonsense.King Atheos laughed and said Let me know the tricks the moon goddess will pay.He whispered to himself and walked away to his chambers.
The faces of the people sent shivers down my spine.My imagination scared me.I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of the old dark cells.The guards came and bundled me as we walked.I tried to struggle but they were more powerful than ever.
I kept crying begging them to release me that I would escape and never return but they paid deaf ears and behaved as if I was a spirit. We did not walk long when I saw a huge gate with a bold imprint dungeon.It had the head of a dragon drawn boldly at it.I lost my breath at what I saw . The huge gate opened.On looking at the sides was cross with people's bodies kept.
