Splashes of water from the shower could be heard easily through the thin walls as Jihoon busied himself tidying up the room, patiently waiting for his turn.
"Why was I sleeping in Ajeossi's bed?"
He mumbled to himself while folding up the rumpled blanket, not sure if he even wanted to find out the answer. Some mysteries were better left untouched.
After Ryul finished washing up, Jihoon followed suit. The cool water helped clear the last remnants of fogginess, though it did little to soothe the awkward flutter in his chest.
Once dressed, he slipped outside to retrieve Haneul, who had returned from his own little adventure of a sleepover, still beaming from the fun of the previous day. The boy hummed under his breath as he freshened up, bouncing on his toes with residual energy.
In the meantime, Jihoon went out to help prepare breakfast with the older ladies who were already bustling around the stove.
