After that whole drama, I finally got ready to meet Ingrid, however, Rhema stubbornly followed but I refused to hold her hand.
What's the point of pretending when I told her I'm a different person?
She quietly walked beside me and when we got into the elevator, I sensed her strong gaze on me.
"What?" I tiredly asked.
"Why do you want to meet with Ingrid?"
At her question, I faced her with a neutral expression.
Instead of answering right away, I let the silence stretch between us as I watched her keenly. She frowned at me but I refused to look away and after a while I spoke.
"Why did you marry Flare?"
At my question, her lips trembled and her face fell slightly.
"I know you are not my Flare but you're still him. Please don't ever say it like that, just phrase it this way; why did you marry me?"
She corrected me and I smirked at her.
"You didn't answer my question," she reminded me.
"And so did you."
"I asked first," she stood her ground.
