Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: Future Plans

Kenta Madoka sprawled on the grassy field behind Madam Shijimi's house, the afternoon sun warming his face as he chewed on a senbon.

Word of his Boogie Woogie kekkei genkai had spread like wildfire after the Senju compound fiasco, and he couldn't dodge the spotlight anymore.

'Guess the cat's outta the bag—well, Tora's still in it, hissing at me,' he thought, smirking. 'No point hiding it now—time to flex this baby 'til it's unstoppable.'

He'd mastered it instinctively so far—clapping to swap places with people or objects within his sensory range—but raw talent wasn't enough. 'I'm a prodigy, sure, but even prodigies grind. Sayaka's my punching bag—er, sparring partner. Let's see if she can keep up with me now even with her ninjutsu.'

He leapt up, spotting Sayaka sharpening her kunai nearby. "Oi, paper girl!" he called, "Spar time! My kekkei genkai's public now, so you're helping me train it—noble orders!"

Sayaka sighed, pocketing her blade. "Great, more babysitting duty. Fine, Young Master—let's see if your 'Boogie Woogie' can dodge paper cuts." She smirked, pulling chakra-infused paper from her pouch, shaping it into shuriken.

The spar kicked off fast. Sayaka hurled a volley of paper stars, their edges glinting like steel. Kenta clapped—*CLAP!*—swapping with her. Now she was taking the brunt of her own paper shuriken.

"Sayaka, be careful of paper cuts. Hahaha" Kenta laughed at that taunt as he launched himself towards Sayaka who somehow managed to control the paper shuriken as they hovered in front of her.

"Too slow!" Kenta taunted, lunging with a Thunder Palm Fist. His open hand crackled with chakra, aiming for her shoulder, but Sayaka twisted, countering with a taijutsu jab.

He ducked, grinning—*CLAP!*—and swapped with her mid-strike, leaving her punching air as he reappeared behind her again.

"What the—?!" Sayaka yelped, spinning, but Kenta was already moving. He mirrored Aoi Todo's relentless rhythm—disorient, strike, repeat. *CLAP!* He swapped with her again

and unleashed a Hammer Punch from behind her, his fist slamming down like a meteor.

Sayaka though knew what was coming as the surroundings changed once again for her. The paper shuriken that were hovering around her swirled into a shield,

And with another hand sign, paper tendrils came out of the shield to snare him.

Kenta laughed—*CLAP!*—swapping with her again, the tendrils wrapping around her instead. "Can't catch the Boogie Woogie king, paper girl!"

He darted in, claws extending with a flex of Yang chakra, and slashed the paper tendrils that tried to protect Sayaka —*slash!*—

before sweeping her legs with a low kick. Sayaka hit the ground with a *thud*, groaning as paper scattered. "Yield yet?" he crowed, posing triumphantly.

Sayaka glared up, panting. "You're a one-trick teleporting menace—ugh, fine, you win!" Kenta offered a hand, smirking. "Good effort—stick to paper, though. I'm untouchable!" She swatted it away, muttering, "Untouchable pain in my ass."

Satisfied, Kenta flopped onto the grass, his mind drifting from the things that he had learned from the spar.

'She is right though. I am a one trick pony right now. She got used to me swapping places with her. My swapping places would be more useful with more people on the battlefield. More allies and more enemies. And well some clones. In a one on one fight, I would need to learn how to infuse my chakra in objects and swap with them.'

Kenta thought

Then Kenta thought to bigger things—his future, and the world's.

'Boogie Woogie's my trump card, but this place is a mess waiting to explode,' he thought, staring at the clouds.

'Reincarnation's a cheat code—I know what's coming. Question is, what do I mess with?'

First up: Orochimaru. Kenta pictured the snake-eyed creep, all slithery and sinister. 'Should I stop him going dark? Nawaki's death—Tsunade's brother—and Dan's, her lover, pushed him over the edge. Guy was a mess after his parents croaked too—poor little Oro, boo-hoo!* He chuckled, imagining a tiny Orochimaru sobbing into a snake plushie. 'Sympathy card: parents dead, world's cruel, so he chases immortality like it's a sale on ninja gear. 'Gotta live forever—since life is too short!' Pathetic, but I get it—kinda.' He sighed, sobering. 'No fixing that—he's a slippery bastard. Train a decade, and he'd still slink away, cackling. I'd punch him, but he'd probably enjoy it. Nope, Snake Face stays.'

Next: Nagato and that Rinnegan nightmare. 'Steal it? Smash it? Nah—Madara's lurking, old as dirt but scary as hell. One foot in the grave, and he'd still kill me ten times in ten minutes—'Oh, Kenta, nice claws!' *slash*—dead!* He shivered, picturing Madara's wrinkled glare with his Susano surrounding him.

'He's got Nagato on a leash—Rinnegan's his toy. I'd be a smear before I blinked. Let the kid grow up—better the devil I know than some wildcard Madara picks next.' He smirked grimly. 'Besides, I'm not suicidal—yet.'

Then Obito. 'Save him from Madara? Hmm… if he doesn't fall, Madara just grabs another Uchiha—plenty of emo eyeballs to go around. Obito's a known mess—cries over Rin, goes psycho. An unknown Uchiha? Could be worse—some edgelord with a grudge and unknown Sharingan abilities. At least Obito had only one sharingan ability to deal with. Nope, stick with the script—Obito's predictable feats beats a mystery nutjob.' Kenta nodded to himself. 'Known foe's better than rolling the dice.'

He rolled onto his side, chewing his lip. 'So, Orochimaru, Nagato, Obito—hands off. Too big, too messy, and I'm not dying to play hero—not yet. I'll tweak what I can 'til the big stuff hits, but those three? Untouchable for now. Gotta live long enough to enjoy when my big brother turns Daimyô.' He grinned, imagining a throne of mochi, then sobered.

'But some things… I can't dodge.'

The Nine-Tails attack loomed in his mind—Kushina and Minato's deaths, Konoha's destruction.

'Minato's gotta live—he's my homework slave! Does my classwork too—'Oh, Kenta, let me write that essay!' Total pushover, but kinda my buddy.' He snickered, picturing Minato's earnest smile over a stack of papers.

'If Grandpa finds out I'm bullying a peer into doing my work, he'd tan my noble hide—'Kenta, you disgrace the Daimyō!' I'd be scrubbing floors 'til I'm thirty!' He laughed, rolling onto his back.

'Gotta save Goldilocks—can't lose my personal scribe. Plus, he's too nice to die—world needs more pretty boys.'

Then Kushina. 'Red's a pain—loud, annoying, mochi-stealing goblin—but she's my 'friend' now, thanks to that old hag Mito.'

He groaned, imagining Mito's cackle "Hahaha!"*—echoing from the afterlife. 'If I let Kushina croak, Mito'll haunt me—'You let my girl die, brat!' Chasing me with ghost chains 'til I'm begging for mercy. Nope, can't back out—nobles keep their word, even to redheaded goblins.' He smirked, picturing Kushina's pout. 'She's a pest, but I'll drag her outta that mess—kicking and screaming, probably. Mito'd kill me otherwise—dead or alive!'

Kenta sat up, resolve hardening. 'Nine-Tails? I'm crashing that party—save Minato, save Kushina, save the village. Boogie Woogie's my edge—clap in, claw up, zap out. Train hard, stack wins, and when the fox hits, I'll be ready.'
