Chapter: 112
Title: "The Thunder God's Interception"
A storm churned above Seoul.
From within the thick, sulfur-stained clouds, Frozen—the stoic leader of the Shadow House—hovered high above the wreckage of the city. A broad, swirling platform of phantom smoke curled beneath his feet, lifting him through the air like a silent god of dusk. Across from him, Daisuke, her black hair trailing like a silk banner, stood poised on her own conjured platform, created by Frozen moments earlier. Both soared side by side, racing at blinding speed toward the source of seismic devastation below.
Ahead of them towered a 500-foot-tall humanoid monkey beast, fresh from the black hole, its body steaming, its red eyes glowing like twin furnaces. Each of its massive steps cracked the city's foundation.
Frozen squinted. "What the hell is that thing?"
Daisuke's eyes narrowed, lips tightening. "A problem," she said. "That's all it is."
She glanced down. The younger hunters—Madagascar, Tito, Chiro, Vincent, and Mori—were paralyzed in place, stunned at the sheer scale of what had emerged. The beast's pressure alone was suffocating, crushing even the strongest of wills.
Daisuke muttered, "I'll clear them out. You hold that thing."
She dove down instantly,
Her cloak whipped violently behind her as she fell, and mid-air, bat-like wings spread from her back with a leathery snap. She glided with masterful precision like an experienced bat, swooping low across the battlefield. Just as the monster raised its titanic foot to crush the frozen hunters, Daisuke dove beneath it, scooping up Chiro and Vincent with both arms, her wings tucking around them like a protective shell.
"MOVE KID!" she shouted to the others.
On cue, Madagascar muttered Ice Release:Glacier Path
A bridge of jagged ice surged beneath his team carrying them away at the breakneck speed, it was a giant ice platform beneath the rest of the group. With arms stretched wide, he directed the platform forward, riding the moving glacier away from the impact zone. Just as the monkey's foot slammed down—BOOOOOOOM!!!—a shockwave erupted, shattering streets and flattening structures. Madagascar's platform broke apart beneath them, but by then, the team had made it to safety.
Up above, Frozen acted immediately.
"Smoke Release: Wind Poll," he muttered.
From his palms, a coiled tornado of black smoke erupted, spiraling outward and wrapping around the monster like a massive, slithering python. The smoke tightened, forming a dark wall that surrounded and held the beast in place, halting its forward movement. The creature roared and pushed against the barrier, straining it. Frozen's arms trembled. Sweat dripped down his brow.
"Damn that thing won't stay still" he said
Then, behind a tall building, Mujin appeared—calm and focused.
"That's enough," Mujin said, stepping into the light. "You've done your part, Frozen. I'll take it from here."
"Took you long enough" frozen said,
Then Frozen nodded, panting heavily. But before they could exchange another word, the black smoke around the beast began glowing red.
Inside, the humanoid monkey's body started to swell—arms ballooning, legs bloating, its entire torso pulsing grotesquely. Its face bubbled and expanded like it was about to burst.
Mujin's eyes widened. "It's going to explode."
He snapped to Frozen. "Get them out of here! NOW! COVER THE CITY"
Frozen didn't hesitate. He descended swiftly into the city and spread his hands wide—a thick mist of black smoke poured out, coating every building, alley, and rooftop. It flowed like liquid shadow, blanketing the city's ruins, reaching the young hunters, Daisuke, and even the bystanders. The smoke encased them in protective pockets, sealing off the explosion radius.
Up above, Mujin exhaled.
He stepped forward.
The monstrous beast had broken through Frozen's barrier—ripping it apart like silk. Its swollen body was shaking violently, moments from detonation.
Mujin whispered something under his breath.
"Through the Heavens and the Earth…
In the Name of the Wave and Wind Clan…
I command thee—Flying Thunder God Technique."
The sky screamed.
CRACK-K-K-KOOOOOOM!
Three perfect copies of Mujin materialized in the air, each glowing with lightning-infused runes etched across their forearms. Thunderbolts rained from the heavens, spiraling into one focused arc that snapped onto the monster, holding it aloft in the sky.
Then, the creature exploded.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
But the explosion didn't bloom.
It froze mid-air, compressed, and then—disappeared. Disintegrated. Dispersed.
Silence.
Dust slowly settled across the city. The clouds thinned. Frozen's smoke lifted. One by one, the hunters emerged from their pockets of safety.
On the ground, Daisuke looked up, awe etched across her face.
"…Mujin of the Wave and Wind Family," she said, her voice reverent.
Tito turned to her, battered but breathing. "He's from that family?"
She nodded. "Yeah. That family."
Meanwhile, back in India…
The camera pans across the ruined land—toward the great black hole pulsing at the heart of devastation. In front of it, Sakamoto stood still.
He reached his hand forward…
His palm pressed against the darkness,And then He stepped inside.
