Chapter 50 - Chapter 1149  The transcendent fate-changing position of evolving from a mortal to an immortal, a calculation that missed one crucial point despite countless plans.

Ye Suyi was not someone with great fortune, nor did she possess any extraordinary qualities.

Of course, probing the fate of an ordinary person was not difficult for Gu Changge—it was merely a matter of a single thought.

However, such an unnecessary act, which offered no benefit to him, didn't seem like something Gu Changge would do.

"Forget it..."

Seeing the pleading and timid gaze of the white-robed girl, Gu Changge shook his head slightly and decided to take a look at her past and future.

But soon, Gu Changge's brows furrowed, and his expression became slightly strange.

There were very few things in the world that could evoke such emotions in him.

Yet, in the future timeline of this white-robed girl, he saw unexpected entanglements with himself.

"To think she possesses the transcendent fate of ascending from mortal to immortal. Is she the reincarnation of someone, or is this the work of another?"

After pondering for a moment, Gu Changge's gaze fell on Ye Suyi, as if trying to see through all her past lives.

However, when he attempted to deduce and peer into Ye Suyi's past lives, a vast mist suddenly appeared, obscuring the River of Time and the marks of reincarnation.

This scene felt somewhat familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before.

"This is similar to the Transcendence Codex that appeared in the Eternal Primordial God's notes in the Biyou Heavenly Realm of the Immortal Spirit Civilization. It can block my probing and deduction."

Gu Changge's gaze suddenly deepened.

He truly hadn't expected Ye Suyi to possess the transcendent fate of ascending from mortal to immortal.

This fate was somewhat similar to the protagonist's fate—it could be innate or artificially created.

Based on Gu Changge's deduction, he suspected it was artificially created. Otherwise, why would a mist appear to block his probing?

If so, this was somewhat similar to the "transmigrator protagonist" identity he had created for himself.

If that were the case, then Ye Suyi's origins might not be simple.

"And yet, she happened to cross paths with me. In the future timeline, she has many entanglements with me."

"However, if she hadn't met me, there would have been no intersection in the future timeline. The future I see now is already the result of my choices."

"Whether I let her stay by my side or not, the future entanglements won't change."

"But if this is artificially arranged, then her appearance isn't a coincidence. Someone must have calculated this long ago."

"That person has been scheming for a long time, and their calculations are precisely aimed at the identity I'm using in the Vast Expanse World."

In that instant, Gu Changge suddenly understood many things.

No wonder he felt that someone had tampered with the current Vast Expanse World after leaving the Dao Prosperity True World.

The Heavenly Dao had erased the concept of "defying heaven" from many true worlds and civilizations.

Because the concept of "defying heaven" was missing, the emergence of the Heaven-Slaying Alliance faced fewer obstacles and difficulties.

It seemed that someone had anticipated Gu Changge's plans and paved the way for him in advance. This could be considered a "gift," right?

That person had calculated that Gu Changge would return, just as he had in the past, to act in the name of heaven and carry out heaven's will. They had also calculated that he would reappear as the "Demon Lord."

Thinking of this, Gu Changge couldn't help but laugh. But despite all their calculations, they had missed the most crucial point.

Whether it was the Heaven-Warring Organization of the past, the current Heaven-Slaying Alliance, or the identity of the "Demon Lord," they were all just parts of his grand scheme.

That person had calculated three steps ahead, but Gu Changge was already ten steps ahead.

The appearance of Ye Suyi might have been part of that person's calculations, or perhaps Ye Suyi was that person herself?

"If this is your way of approaching me, then I'll see what tricks you have up your sleeve."

After these thoughts flashed through his mind, Gu Changge's expression returned to normal.

Ye Suyi didn't know what Gu Changge was thinking. She lowered her head again, her jade-like hands tightly gripping the corner of her sleeve, her heart filled with tension.

It was as if she was waiting for a final judgment, waiting for her ultimate fate.

At Purple Mist Mountain, she had stayed by Zi Susu's side.

Although they were nominally sisters, Zi Susu had always treated her like a servant, scolding and hitting her at every turn.

Zi Susu disliked her face, thinking it was too alluring. Whenever they were together, men would always look at Ye Suyi first.

This made Zi Susu very uncomfortable, so she ordered Ye Suyi to keep her head down in front of others.

If Ye Suyi dared to raise her head, Zi Susu threatened to scar her face.

Her father, at Purple Mist Mountain, had no authority at all. Even toward his own daughter, he often showed no kindness, believing that her arrival had made him even more unwelcome in his wife's eyes.

In her father's home at Purple Mist Mountain, Ye Suyi had never been given a proper status.

Her father didn't acknowledge her. It was only Zi Susu's mother, out of kindness, who allowed her to stay and gave her the lowest servant status.

But that "kind" stepmother couldn't even tolerate her mother's memorial tablet. Later, she had someone smash it into pieces and burn it as firewood.

Her father watched coldly, unmoved.

Zi Susu and her mother sat in the main seat, sipping tea with disdainful smirks, completely ignoring Ye Suyi's pleas and tears.

Ye Suyi kowtowed until her forehead bled and knelt until her knees were raw, but they paid no attention, treating her like a bug beneath their feet.

Ye Suyi still remembered that day vividly and would never forget it.

She could never return to Purple Mist Mountain.

If she ever went back, it would be to seek justice for her mother.

"Do you possess cultivation?"

Suddenly, Gu Changge's question pulled Ye Suyi out of her thoughts.

She was startled, then nervously stammered, "Yes..."

This was actually a deeply hidden secret of hers. Even the people at Purple Mist Mountain didn't know she had cultivation.

She wasn't a disciple of Purple Mist Mountain and hadn't practiced their techniques.

Before going to Purple Mist Mountain, she had never systematically cultivated.

Of course, this cultivation wasn't the superficial kind that most people in the cultivation world possessed. Even mortals in the secular world had a trace of cultivation.

Ye Suyi knew that Gu Changge was asking about her hidden cultivation.
