Chapter 48 - Chapter 1147 When disaster strikes, everyone flees for themselves. I don’t want to die here!

"How did a prince of the Demon Court find my location?"

Chu Xia, who was being dragged away by Uncle Fu, also had a drastic change in expression.

He finally realized what was happening, his entire body trembling, his hands and feet icy cold.

But now, there was no time for him to be furious.

Even Uncle Fu's expression was extremely grave, feeling that tonight's situation was very dangerous, likely a life-or-death scenario.

Purple Return City was too far from the Immortal Chu Dynasty.

Even if Chu Gucheng suddenly sensed something, he wouldn't be able to arrive in time.

"Where do you think you can escape to?"

"Even if Chu Gucheng himself descends today, he won't be able to save you."

Di Kun coldly looked at Chu Xia and Uncle Fu, his expression filled with cruelty and mockery.

In his eyes, Uncle Fu was only at the third level of the Dao Realm's decline and stood no chance of stopping him.

As for Chu Xia, even if he had protective treasures from Chu Gucheng, they wouldn't be enough to withstand Di Kun's power.

In Di Kun's eyes, the two were already like fish on a chopping block, with no chance of escape.

Uncle Fu's expression was grim. He knew it was impossible to escape with Chu Xia.

Di Kun's strength far surpassed his own, and he wasn't skilled in combat. His cultivation level was also somewhat unstable compared to others at his stage.

"Are you trying to provoke a war between the Immortal Chu Dynasty and the Demon Court?"

He spoke in a deep voice, attempting to buy time while secretly contacting the powerhouses of the Immortal Chu Dynasty.

However, Di Kun had already anticipated his intentions and let out a cold laugh. "I've said it before—even if Chu Gucheng descends today, he won't be able to save you. Don't try to stall for time in front of me."

"When your people from the Immortal Chu Dynasty killed my ninth brother, did you ever think this day would come?"

"The Dao has its cycles. Chu Gucheng should regret his decisions now."

His gaze swept across the world, causing everything to tremble. The universe itself seemed on the verge of collapse.

Chu Xia couldn't withstand such a gaze. He spat out a mouthful of blood, feeling as if his body was about to explode. Blood gushed from his nose and mouth, his bones creaking and cracking, his spine on the verge of being crushed.

For the first time in his life, he felt the threat of death, his face pale with fear.

"Young Master, I have a treasure bestowed by the ruler. It might be able to hold him off for a while."

"During that time, use every means at your disposal, every treasure you can, and flee toward the Immortal Chu Dynasty."

Uncle Fu, also enduring the immense pressure, spoke with a grave expression, his hunched body trembling.

He quickly sent a mental message to Chu Xia, preparing himself to fight to the death to delay Di Kun.

However, he wasn't sure if Chu Xia would survive.

Hearing this, Chu Xia's expression was filled with fear and panic. "Uncle Fu, with my strength, I can't escape far. Even if I use the teleportation talismans my sisters gave me, he'll catch up to me soon."

"You must find a way to delay him. I don't want to die here!"

"As long as I live, I'll definitely avenge you in the future. My father, with his immense power, will surely avenge you too."

He had never experienced such a desperate situation before, his heart filled with fear and his eyes full of despair.

At this moment, Chu Xia hated the person who had killed the Ninth Prince of the Demon Court to the core.

Shouldn't retribution be directed at the perpetrator? Yet, the retaliation had come for him instead.

Uncle Fu knew Chu Xia's character well, but hearing these words in such a dire situation still made his heart sink slightly.

Compared to the ruler, who remained calm in crises and repaid kindness, Chu Xia didn't resemble his father at all.

But now, he didn't say much. After all, he was just an old servant.

Everything he had today was thanks to Chu Gucheng. Sacrificing his life to save his master's son—what of it?

"Young Master, don't worry. I'll find a way to buy you time."

Uncle Fu sighed slightly, then his expression turned resolute.

His previously hunched body suddenly straightened, his silver hair shining like steel, his eyes blazing like torches.

He stepped forward, facing Di Kun directly. His sleeves billowed as if filled with countless stars, and he charged at Di Kun without hesitation.

"Overestimating yourself."

Di Kun stood tall between heaven and earth, as if he had anticipated Uncle Fu's move. He let out a disdainful laugh and raised his hand to meet the attack.

*Boom!!!*

In that instant, the entire sky shook violently. Billions of rules and orders collided, and the starry sky seemed on the verge of collapsing.

All the cultivators and beings in Purple Return City felt as if their flesh was about to disintegrate.

The aura of two Dao Realm existences clashing was terrifying. Even a single ripple of their power could tear apart the universe.

Seizing the opportunity, Chu Xia gritted his teeth and activated a translucent ancient jade talisman, tearing through the void to escape.

"Young Master, don't leave me behind!"

Chu Xiao'er, Chu Xia's most trusted lackey, was now pale with fear, abandoned by Chu Xia in this dire situation.

Chu Xia glanced back at him, a flicker of hesitation in his eyes.

But it was quickly replaced by the fear and panic of impending death.

Although he had many life-saving treasures, they were useless against a terrifying Dao Realm existence.

Bringing Chu Xiao'er along would only waste more of his time and energy.

"I can't waste the time Uncle Fu is buying with his life on him."

"But I'll find a way to avenge him in the future."

Chu Xia's gaze turned dark and determined. The void before him blurred, and his figure vanished, leaving behind a despairing Chu Xiao'er.

This scene played out before the eyes of countless cultivators and beings in Purple Return City. Many looked on with disdain.

But considering the life-and-death situation, it didn't seem entirely unreasonable.

Earlier at Riverside Pavilion, Chu Xia had caused the deaths of many innocent disciples from major sects by summoning a terrifying forbidden artifact.

Now, this turn of events made many secretly pleased, feeling it was poetic justice.

"Speaking of which, this Demon Court prince seeking revenge is unfathomably powerful. The young master of the Immortal Chu Dynasty is likely doomed."

Many cultivators' eyes flickered, not believing that Chu Xia could escape alive.

The battle between Uncle Fu and Di Kun quickly spread across the entire Southern Wilderness Ancient Domain. Their colossal figures, towering billions of feet tall, loomed over the battlefield, with fragments of the River of Time swirling around them.

They seemed to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the universe as they fought.

Deep in the horizon, muffled thunder rumbled, and billions of chains of order appeared, representing the strongest Dao laws being displayed and interpreted.

The chains intertwined like countless slender willow leaves, capable of slicing through time, space, and fate, illuminating the dark sky with a dazzling brilliance.

Finally, everyone seemed to hear the cry of a Golden Crow, echoing through the ages, carrying the supreme might of the Great Dao. Ripples of the Great Dao spread, capable of obliterating all.

Then, a hunched figure fell, blood staining the universe red as it crashed into a primitive land in the Southern Wilderness Ancient Domain, its fate unknown.

"With your meager strength, you dare to stop me?"

Di Kun let out a disdainful laugh, his voice shaking the heavens, filled with the playful cruelty of a cat toying with a mouse. With a single step, he vanished, pursuing the fleeing Chu Xia.

His strength was terrifying. In less than a hundred moves, he had defeated Uncle Fu.

And this was only because Uncle Fu possessed a powerful treasure.

If not for his need to chase Chu Xia, Di Kun could have easily killed Uncle Fu.

But now, Uncle Fu was burned by the True Sun Flame, his Great Dao ripples extinguishing his vitality. His life force was withering, and he wouldn't live much longer.
