Chapter 1 - Reborn As Ash

A boy, about 15 years old, a teenager to be simple, was having his beauty sleep before an alarm clock decided to disturb it. Slowly opening his eyes, still half asleep, he moved his hands, trying to find his smartphone, only to find nothing.

"Hmm, why does the bed feel so small?" he asked while still half asleep.

Suddenly, the door to his room opened, and a beautiful woman entered.

"Ash, wake up. I've come to wake you up for the third time now. If you continue sleeping, you'll be late for getting your starter Pokémon," she said.

The boy looked at the woman and kept staring because she might be the most beautiful woman he had probably seen in front of him—not on TV or anything else, but live, right in front of him.

"Ash, I'm going to leave now, and when I come back, I want you to be ready to leave," the woman said sternly before leaving.

After she left, the boy muttered, "Who the fu*k is Ash? And what is this room? And who was that babe?"

Confused, he looked at the strange clock.

"What kind of childish clock is this? Seriously, a Pokémon clock?" he said, still eyeing the time.

"Shit, it's already 10:30. I always wake up at 5. Maybe I should find out more about myself, and if my guess is right—which I will be glad if it's not—I'm in the Pokémon world," the boy said, getting up.

The boy went into the bathroom and sighed. "Looks like all my bad luck accumulated and sent me here. I even know the fu*king way to wherever I want to go. It directly comes to my mind," he muttered, looking into the mirror to confirm something.

"Sh*t, I really am in the Pokémon world. Well, now that I'm here, I think I have to change to the ways this world works," he said, starting to brush his teeth.

'I agree that many people would be really happy about coming to this world, but I'm not. I mean, I was a judicial magistrate, and I only had to work during working hours, without worrying about many things. Taking a back seat in a government-funded AC car—that's life' he thought while brushing.

Although after arguing and cursing a lot, he finished his bath and went to Professor Oak's laboratory to get his Pokémon, thinking, 'If I'm late, so be it. I'll just be even more late, but I'll go after at least taking a bath. I'll get that Pikachu that will zap me anyway even if I am late'

Then he chuckled a bit and continued thinking, 'I'm glad that I know about the future events and wore rubber shoes. If that stupid mouse dares to zap me, I'll crush it, even if I get called a monster'

He sighed. 'Although I'm a fan of the Pokémon anime, I actually don't like it much, especially Ash because his plot armor is made to take hits when it matters the most. For example, just to defeat Ash in Sinnoh, a new character was created with two legendaries, only for him to never be mentioned again'

Just thinking about random things like that, he arrived at Professor Oak's laboratory. But at the entrance, he saw a teenage boy like him.

"Hey, Ashy boy, pretty early today," Gary said sarcastically. As everyone knows, that's Gary, Ash's main rival in the Indigo and Johto leagues.

"I know," Ash replied, walking inside. Gary was stunned upon hearing this, not understanding what Ash said because he was sure that Ash could understand basic sarcasm.

[1st person POV]

Well, I'm sure Gary was thinking that I couldn't understand his sarcasm because I said "I know" earlier, but it's the only way to get inside without making my mood worse. But I have to agree on one thing—Gary has the deepest friendship with Ash because he's the only one who's waited until now.

As I went inside, I saw an old man, who I knew was Professor Oak from my memories. Obviously, I wouldn't find Scarlett Johansson in Professor Oak's lab. Even if I did, she's not a man and not old. She is total babe

"Hello, Professor Oak," I said politely. "I'm here to get my first Pokémon."

"Oh, Ash. You came pretty late for someone who was the most excited," Professor Oak said, looking at the clock, which pointed 11:15.

"Yeah, Professor. Actually, I was so excited, I fell asleep pretty late last night, and since it was already late this morning, I thought it would be better to come to you in a presentable way because I'm sure you've already left a Pokémon for me."

As Professor Oak heard this, he was stunned. Was this really Ash? The same Ash who couldn't even use common sense in the most basic situations? He always knew that when dealing with Pokémon, Ash would get fired up and do things that, although dangerous, he did because they were the right thing to do.

Although Professor Oak had seen Ash's potential, he still couldn't believe that the same Ash was now using reason and logic! It defied even the most absurd research he'd done in his entire life! What the fu*k?

"Ah, Professor Oak to earth" I said, waving. I guess he was too shocked by Ash giving a logical reason and talking politely.

"Ah, yes. Your Pokémon, come with me," Professor Oak said, leading me upstairs where there were three Pokéballs.

"So, Professor Oak, where is my Pokémon?"

"Oh, it's right here," he said, pressing a button that opened the middle area, revealing a Pokéball with a lightning symbol on top.

"I guess it's an electric-type Pokémon," I said, to which Professor Oak just nodded, still stunned by Ash using logic again. But I was confused that he was so stunned by this.

What was the level of Ash's common thought process outside of Pokémon battles? Forget it, I only remember the battles.

Shaking my head a bit, I moved forward to grab the Pokéball to release my first Pokémon.
