Chapter 22 - Act 7 Plan_2

Sophie then noticed the shimmering tear stains still on the other's face and couldn't help but soften in his heart.

"It's okay, I'm fine now." He replied gently.

"Really?"

"Really." Sophie nodded.

"Roman, don't move him, Mr. Brand is seriously injured." Frey couldn't help but frown, did these two even realize how severe his injuries were? He almost died, didn't he?

"It's okay." Roman said, but still stuck out her tongue and stepped back.

Sophie smiled, the merchant girl really had this kind of temperament. Watching these two beautiful girls standing side by side, he couldn't help but feel a bit appreciative.

He suddenly realized that change was not impossible. Change came from another aspect. Since he arrived in this world, the world had already changed.

If it weren't for his crossing over, perhaps Miss Merchant and Brand would have already met with misfortune. Those bandits from Madara had no qualms about harming women.

He looked at the others, thinking about the young people who were with Frey. In that war, how many of them would have survived in the end?

Sophie remembered clearly, in that war, not one out of ten of the border militia and guard team survived.

But now that he was here, maybe history should indeed deviate a bit. He didn't know much, but at least these people beside him should be preserved. These young people were the future seeds of this kingdom...

Sophie absolutely could not allow history to repeat itself.

"Alright, let's get back to the main topic. Do you know how serious the current situation is?" The young man then took a deep breath, trying to appear less uncomfortable. To be honest, what he needed most now was rest, but the current situation obviously did not allow it.

He looked at the others, Frey and these young militiamen were all stunned.

Only Roman mischievously blinked her eyes.

"Eh?" The ponytailed girl asked confusedly.

Sophie weakly coughed twice and asked, "I mean, what are you planning to do next? If I'm not mistaken, the undead of Madara have definitely taken control of the main road, right?"

The surroundings fell into silence——

"Ho-how did you know?" Frey was slightly taken aback, looking at him in surprise.

Of course I know, not only do I know, I have personally experienced it, Sophie answered in his heart. But the surprised looks around him still made him feel a bit smug.

The advantage of foreknowledge.

But the slight smugness couldn't cover the worry in his heart: In Madara's offensive in April, they acted quickly and thoroughly. He had to establish an even more thorough plan to protect himself.

And these young people too.

Buqi was currently facing the flank of Madara's army, commanded by the future infamous 'Black Lord' Instarlon. Though now that guy was just a twenty-something youngster, it was from this war that this future general star began to reveal his brilliance.

And what did he have? In the history of this moment, he was just an unknown nobody.

But Sophie knew that the only advantage he had now was foreknowledge. Indeed, this advantage could save his life in the upcoming series of encounters——but he had to seize the opportunity.

He only had two chances.

One was to pass through the relatively safe Sharp Stone River Valley. He remembered clearly that until the seventeenth, Instarlon's deputy 'One-eyed' Tagus would not control that area.

But it was too far away, and he was worried that he might not be able to break through before the other side completed their encirclement. Unless he had horses, but where could he find horses for ten people now?

So only one path remained, and that was to break through the Dagger River Beach area before the two squads led by the Corpse Ghost Weisa and White Knight Eberdon converged.

Until the end of April, there was only one skeleton squad garrisoned there led by a Corpse Witch.

He couldn't help but touch the cold ring on his index finger. As long as he had the Wind Queen's Ring, breaking through a defense line composed of eleven skeleton soldiers and one Corpse Witch wouldn't be very difficult, would it?

But before that, he had to make sure that every member of this militia squad obeyed his commands. That was also why he displayed such a strong demeanor from the beginning.

Sophie took another look at everyone.

"This is a logical deduction; anyone with a bit of military common sense would reach the same conclusion. Blocking the main road is to cut off communication and clear the way for their main army. The next step is to clean up Erune's remaining forces in this area with Buqi as the center," he said, trying to make it sound as serious as possible based on his experience. Then he paused, emphasizing, "which means us."
