Kyle Kinston's gaze fixed on Evelyn, causing her palms and spine to instinctively break into a sweat, as if he could see right through her.
While she was lost in thought, a sudden crash came from the bathroom.
Evelyn tensed up as she saw Kyle already about to barge in. She hurriedly pulled him back, "No, let me go check..."
But before she could finish speaking, she was thrown against the wall beside her. Kyle had already charged in.
Earlier, she had specifically inquired and learned that the third-floor private rooms of this restaurant were seldom occupied at noon. So she booked a room here, thinking it would facilitate her plan, but instead, it ended up facilitating Kyle.
Once inside, Kyle began pushing open door after door. When he arrived at a particular stall, noises came from within, but no one opened the door despite his knocking.
So Kyle simply kicked the door open and found Mabel Quinn cornered and distressed, evading a man who was photographing her.
