Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Dark Demon's Potion Card Creation【12】

Chapter 84: Dark Demon's Potion Card Creation[12]

To transform a potion into a potion card, besides the core No. 3 refinement formation, the process primarily revolves around the energy circulation combination of the No. 21, No. 33, and No. 34 refinement formations.

The most common production method involves first pouring the potion into a magic pen, using it as "ink." When the magus writes "magical language" on a blank magic card, the surface properties of the blank magic card gradually change to match the potion's properties in the gentlest way. This aims to achieve compatibility with the potion in the end, significantly increasing the success rate of refinement.

The so-called "magical language" is knowledge that is only taught starting in the second academic year, somewhat similar to "computer language." Before the second year, young magi can only achieve refinement by transcribing "templates." This is different from mastering "magical language" and then compiling it in their own way. What Dark Demon could do now, of course, was "transcribe."

Thirty-three minutes later.

Dark Demon looked at the glowing ring of the refinement formation displayed on the magic card, knowing he had successfully reached the final step. Thanks to his steady hands and focused mind, there had been no errors in the drawing process so far. This last step was to pour the potion into the light ring formed by the No. 3 refinement formation.

By now, the mixed fruit juice, made from one white dried fruit and one blue fruit, had less than 2/3 but more than 1/2 remaining. He didn't know if this amount of mixed juice would be enough, so he felt a little apprehensive.

But it turned out that even less was needed!

Just by pouring half of the original two-cup mixture into the refinement formation, the final fusion began. At this stage, external forces could no longer interfere; it all depended on the semi-formed magic card's self-adjustment.

Success in adjustment meant success. Failure in adjustment, however, had a chance of transforming it into an inferior or mutated potion card. But most of the time, it was just a straight GG (Good Game/failure).

The most direct visual manifestation at this point was the multicolored flashing lights of the various refinement formations on the magic card. Only when these lights completely subsided would the entire refinement process be considered truly finished.

Therefore, he waited for about three minutes.

Dark Demon's breath almost stopped before the magic card's self-adjustment finally completed. He looked down at the face of the magic card.

Perhaps because the entire refinement process was relatively perfect, the card face was quite clean. Next to a round-bottomed flask full of potion, a test tube with residual blue-white liquid lay quietly.

"This should be considered an item card, right?"

Dark Demon frowned slightly.

After refining a potion into a potion card, the most direct indication of whether it was a magic card or an item card was the presence or absence of a container on the card face. If there was a container, it belonged to the item category.

During the process of using an item card, the magic spirits needed to go through a "consumption" process. From this perspective, magic cards were more convenient. However, their stability was not as good as item cards. It could only be said that each had its pros and cons.

"In the name of Dark Demon, I summon thee!"

Upon successful activation, a bottle of blue-white potion materialized in the air.

Card Name: Energy Potion

Type: Item

Effect: Restores 200 energy points after consumption.

It wasn't a "Mana Recovery" potion, but an "Energy" potion. The orthodox Mana Recovery Potion card, which restored 100 mana points at once, had become an Energy Potion card that restored 200 energy points at once. Additionally, after one use, it also needed to be "recharged," or wait for it to regenerate mana on its own before it could be used again.

Overall, Dark Demon was quite satisfied.

Next, he still didn't proceed with making a magic card for the "mixture of Screaming Fruit and Spiral Fruit juice." Instead, he created another [Energy Potion] to practice.

Once he was proficient enough, he switched to the most basic universal method of refining potions into magic cards and began attempting to create a "Deafening and Muting Potion."

After the previous two practice runs and taking a moment to drink a glass of apple juice, Dark Demon finally succeeded in refining the "Deafening and Muting Potion."

Card Name: Silencing Potion

Type: Item

Effect: After consumption, unable to hear sounds and unable to speak for 120 seconds.

In a duel, 120 seconds was more than enough.

Dark Demon appeared quite pleased.

The so-called "consumption" here could be internal or external. External use meant directly smashing it onto the opponent to take effect. One could imagine how pitiful and helpless a magic spirit hit by the [Silencing Potion] would be.

Well, just like the current DemiDevimon.

However, DemiDevimon had already learned a secret technique: playing dead. As long as it lay down on the table and waited for the potion's effect to wear off, it would be a good little demon again.

The experiment finally ended.

Dark Demon summoned [Trash Slime] to help clean up the experimental residue, then washed himself and practiced "Meditation" on the bed for an hour before finally lying down to sleep.

The next day.

Perhaps because he went to bed relatively late last night, Dark Demon felt a little tired. He climbed onto the lounge chair on the balcony, watching "Dress-Up Master" while recuperating.

Two hours passed like this.

Just as Dark Demon was preparing to review and consolidate the experimental data from last night, there was a knock on the door?

This was truly a rare occurrence for him.

Since enrolling, no one had managed to knock on this door. Mainly because he always left a step ahead of others, not leaving much opportunity for anyone.

"Who is it?"

"It's me, the lovely Diana."

"The gluttonous Diana, you mean."

Dark Demon opened the door with some resignation and saw Diana Greatbear and Rose Flotly standing at the entrance.

He asked, "What's the matter?"

Diana's eyes shifted slightly as she extended an invitation: "Aren't you going to buy a costume for Halloween?"

Rose Flotly chimed in, "It's about time."

"Hiss~"

Dark Demon remembered his crudely made Tuxedo Mask costume and decisively nodded. Halloween was just over a week away; it was indeed time to prepare. He didn't want to become a laughingstock at the masquerade ball.

"Then let's go together!"

Diana immediately beamed with a sunny smile.

Dark Demon suddenly felt a bit dazzled and said, "Wait a moment, I'll go change my clothes."

...

Around eight-thirty, the three of them entered Traveler Street through the Lake Pavilion.

Diana asked curiously, "Dark Demon, do you have a target in mind?"

Dark Demon: "Hmm?"

Diana: "I mean, a costume you like!"

Dark Demon thought for a moment and said, "Just buy a decent formal suit?"

Diana nodded seriously: "A formal suit is also very good. But I recommend the Dark Night Prince set from the Velvet Tailor Shop!"

Dark Demon: "Dark Prince sounds about right, but forget about Dark Night Prince."

Diana: "Eh?"

Dark Demon: "Just kidding. Let's go, let's take a look first."
