If the system hadn't counted those two, his gains would have been even lower.
But compared to the actual benefits, losing a bit of Spacetime Energy wasn't a big deal. Roa was quite satisfied with what he had gained from this world.
"Well, it's time to return," Roa said.
The spatial fluctuations grew intense, and a white light enveloped him. In the blink of an eye, the scene changed dramatically.
A familiar place, a familiar spot. Before him stood a crooked tree, its twisted form giving it an unnatural appearance.
Standing there, a cold wind blew past, sending a shiver down Roa's spine. Only then did he realize that winter had arrived.
Roa looked around, pondering for a moment, and then his memories from before the jump began to align. He realized what needed to be done next.
It was time to prepare for the Teleport Incident, minimizing its impact by evacuating the population. That would make things much easier.
Roa glanced at the sky. The massive black sphere that had once hung above was now gone.
The town below had undergone many changes.
It seemed the situation had been resolved. In the original story, this event had caused immense suffering for the entire town, but now it had been resolved so effortlessly, without even a ripple.
But when you thought about it, Roa had personally intervened, and with the Dragon God Orsted standing by, the two of them—both among the Seven Great Powers—had gathered in this small town to handle the matter. That in itself was extraordinary.
Moreover, they hadn't directly confronted or erased the magic. Instead, they had taken a more moderate approach, simply evacuating the people.
The Teleport Incident.
In the original story, this event had been a major turning point, causing Paul's family to scatter and their once peaceful, happy life to fall apart.
But now, with Roa here—someone who knew the story inside and out—those events were never going to happen.
Roa stretched and tested his flight magic.
In the world of "Mushoku Tensei," this magic wasn't heavily restricted, though it did consume a bit more mana.
Floating in mid-air, Roa scanned the area below. His pale golden dragon eyes took in everything, and soon he noticed something unusual.
A massive concentration of mana was gathered in a corner of the town. In Roa's perception, it was like a pool of thick, dark ink.
Heavy, dense, and unmistakable.
Without a doubt, Orsted was there. After a moment of thought, Roa confirmed the coordinates and prepared to use spatial magic to teleport there.
"Greater Teleportation."
Roa channeled his mana, using a spell he had acquired in the previous world.
The spatial barriers in "Mushoku Tensei" were much thicker than in the "Overlord" world, but Roa still managed to teleport successfully.
In the next moment, Roa appeared in a secluded courtyard. The instant he arrived, his pupils contracted, and without hesitation, he activated "Moment," his body darting backward.
A split second later, the spot where he had been standing was pierced by a high-speed pebble.
The winter ground was hard, covered in a thick layer of frost, but even so, the pebble left a crater, accompanied by a loud boom.
The speed of the pebble was terrifying, clearly exceeding the speed of sound, and the force behind it was no joke.
Roa's eyebrow twitched as he looked at the middle-aged man sitting calmly in the center of the courtyard.
The man's back was straight, and he wore a silver-white dragon-skin coat. His stern face, with its sharp features, and his golden eyes staring directly at Roa gave off an overwhelming sense of pressure.
The man didn't speak, just looked at Roa.
But that expression alone was enough to intimidate.
Even Roa, who was immune to curses, felt the weight of Orsted's presence, let alone anyone else.
"Care to explain, Orsted?" Roa asked, somewhat exasperated.
Orsted remained expressionless, but his next words felt oddly out of place.
"Sorry."
Just two words, delivered with Orsted's usual cold demeanor. Who would think he was actually apologizing?
It was very much in character for Orsted.
Perhaps sensing the awkward silence, Orsted added, "A while ago, the subordinates of the Armored Dragon King came by."
"Oh, I see," Roa said, immediately understanding.
It seemed that Orsted had encountered the Armored Dragon King's subordinates, leading to some conflict.
But then again, Orsted's curse had made him an enemy of the world. The feeling of being distrusted by every living being wasn't pleasant, and almost everyone treated Orsted as an adversary.
Orsted is undoubtedly a good person, although he may seem cold on the surface, he is definitely a decent individual.
Unfortunately, his appearance, coupled with his unique curse, causes anyone who sees Orsted to instinctively perceive him as the most dangerous and evil being, immediately labeling him as a villain.
Paul's relationship with Orsted isn't great. His subordinates probably instinctively assume that Orsted is behind everything when they see him. Given Orsted's personality, he likely wouldn't bother explaining much, and letting them off with just a chase is already showing mercy.
"Alright, let's put that aside for now. Orsted, how's your magic recovery going?" Roa asked.
"About seventy percent recovered," Orsted replied. He seemed indifferent to everything else, always maintaining a detached expression, but when it came to magic, Roa couldn't help but feel that Orsted's mood brightened considerably.
"Is that so? Congratulations then." Roa smiled, walking into the pavilion and sitting opposite Orsted.
The two sat facing each other, just as they had during their previous meeting.
Roa glanced at the pit in the courtyard, a result of Orsted's use of pebbles. This small pit severely detracted from the courtyard's aesthetic appeal. Roa asked, "Aren't you going to use magic to fix the pit?"
Orsted simply replied, "Waste of magic."
"…"
Roa was taken aback by Orsted's somewhat miserly behavior. The young man sighed and casually pointed a finger, causing the ground that had been dented to slowly heal, eventually returning to its original state.
Chatting with Orsted was undoubtedly a somewhat uncomfortable experience.
Basically, Roa would ask a question, and the other would answer. If Roa didn't speak, the atmosphere would quickly turn cold.
Roa was somewhat talkative, but in such an atmosphere, chatting with a senior who was much older than him always felt strange.
After making small talk for a while, Roa cleared his throat and got down to business. "Um, Orsted, I have a weapon I'd like you to help me forge."
"Hmm, take it out and let me see."
Orsted maintained his aloof persona. Roa then took out the Depiction of Nature and Society, reached into it, and retrieved an exquisite box.
Roa placed the box on the table and took out the Windpipe Longsword from his system space.
The Windpipe Longsword had a noticeable gash. The box was opened, revealing a piece of Caloric Stone radiating immense magical power.
Orsted stared at the Windpipe Longsword for a moment, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Orsted rarely inquired, but he asked, "Who were you fighting? To damage your sword like this."
In Orsted's view, there was no one in this world who could be Roa's opponent, especially with Roa's exaggerated speed. Even the great powers would likely be instantly killed upon meeting Roa.
Yet, such a strong person had their weapon damaged, which Orsted found truly perplexing.
He had encountered almost all of the Seven Great Powers and had a general understanding of the future powerhouses. He searched his mind for those people but couldn't find anyone who could contend with Roa.
This couldn't help but pique Orsted's curiosity.
However, no matter how curious Orsted was, Roa couldn't provide a reasonable answer. After all, he couldn't tell Orsted that it was damage caused by an enemy from another world using a world-class item, could he?
Roa could only say, "Well, I was a bit careless and fell for their trick. But it doesn't matter, they'll never appear in this world again."
Orsted nodded slightly upon hearing this. He looked at Roa with a serious expression and reminded him, "Underestimating your enemy is a major taboo."
Roa knew that Orsted was giving him a pointer, so he could only smile wryly and lightly gloss over the topic.
Orsted didn't say much more, reaching out to pick up the Windpipe and examining it closely before saying, "Honestly, I didn't expect this sword to be damaged like this."
"You know this sword?" Roa asked in confusion. However, as soon as he said this, Roa wanted to scold himself.
The Dragon God had been reborn hundreds of times, how could he not recognize the longsword in Gar's hand?
Sure enough, Orsted calmly said, "I know it. After all, I've killed that guy dozens of times, it's hard not to recognize it."
Orsted shifted his gaze from the Windpipe to Roa, his expression serious. "So, what do you want to do? Do you need me to forge an identical longsword for you?"
Roa shook his head, pointed to the heat stone on the table, and said, "I want you to help me fuse this ore with this longsword, is that possible?"
Orsted put down the longsword in his hand, picked up the box with one hand, and examined the Caloric Stone. His crimson-gold pupils scanned it a few times before Orsted commented, "Good stuff. This kind of good stuff was probably only available to the Dragon race in ancient times."
Upon hearing this evaluation, Roa's eyes lit up, and he immediately asked, "Can you fuse them together?"
"Of course, I'll use the ancient Dragon race's forging method to create it for you. I should be able to get a longsword that is no less than the King Dragon Sword."
The King Dragon Sword, also known as Kajakut, is a magic sword made from the bones of the King Dragon King. It can control gravity, and the wielder is not affected by gravity magic. It is called the world's strongest magic sword by the Second Generation North God.
And now, Orsted was actually saying that he could forge a weapon similar to the King Dragon Sword.
Seemingly afraid that Roa would be dissatisfied, Orsted added, "Of course, I'm just giving a conservative estimate. The quality of the finished product remains to be seen."
Roa stood up and bowed to Orsted. "Then I'll leave it to you."
Orsted didn't show much emotion on his face. He simply slowly put away the Windpipe and the Caloric Stone.
"Well, that's all. I'll take my leave now." Roa said to Orsted, already planning to head home.
"Mm." Orsted didn't try to keep him, waving his hand as a farewell to Roa.
Roa stroked the Traveler's Fantasy ring on his index finger, injecting magic power into it. The next moment, his entire body disappeared from the spot.
Orsted looked at the place where Roa had disappeared and said softly in a calm tone, "What a convenient ability."
…
Asura Kingdom.
Royal Capital, within the Royal Palace.
In Roxy's room, space rippled, and a figure suddenly appeared in the room.
The young man looked around. The room had a very girlish style. On the soft bed were several dolls that girls liked.
Roa glanced at the dolls, his expression a little strange.
And these dolls, how to say, were a bit clownish, only barely showing an outline. The fur was painted pink, and a bow was tied on the head. Only these decorations made the doll look a bit girlish.
Roxy wasn't in the room. Of course, if Roxy were in the room, she would probably rush over happily and give Roa a big hug, right?
But Roa thought about it. If he suddenly appeared in the room like this, the timid girl might use a fireball spell in addition to a hug.
