Chapter 61 - Elysia's Favorite?

After being thoroughly kissed by her three wives in succession, Lunelle used her hard-earned two-day break not to rest—of course not—but to run two simulation experiments.

And unexpectedly, she stumbled upon a new simulation path that no one had documented before.

In the first test, Lunelle decided to loosen the reins on her first wife, Dark Seele, allowing her to run wild against a familiar enemy: capitalists.

With her usual chaotic glee, Seele turned the streets crimson, and once the carnage was done, Lunelle moved in with her so-called "kissing therapy"—the only method proven to soothe a rampaging Seele.

And the results? Predictably successful.

Lunelle confirmed something critical. As long as she kept her hands clean—never directly killing anyone—her sanity wouldn't deteriorate within the simulation. A loophole, perhaps. But one she could live with.

Still, even discoveries come at a cost.

And in Lunelle's case, the price was being exploited—repeatedly—by her affectionate but wildly overbearing wife. It wasn't even new; Dark Seele had made a sport of overwhelming Lunelle inside simulations from the beginning.

By now, Lunelle's tolerance had been tempered like steel. She no longer shrieked in embarrassment or stammered like she used to, muttering "Dame~ Dame~" at the faintest brush of affection.

This time, she had a plan.

While keeping the simulation's early stages free of bloodthirst and chaos, Lunelle wanted to test something thrilling—something ambitious.

Could she start from scratch, nurture her Herrscher powers slowly, and survive long enough to become... invincible?

After all, her simulation attribute panel under the identity of "Seele" didn't lie. If given time to mature, the simulated version of Seele could effortlessly erase civilization. That meant Lunelle—if careful—might reach that level herself.

So she played it smart. After the initial purge of the elites, Lunelle melted into the crowds of human cities, keeping a low profile. She used the tangled mess of urban sprawl as cover, hoping the sea of civilians would buy her precious time.

But she had miscalculated.

She hadn't realized just how conspicuous legalized Honkai energy would be on satellite scans. Nor had she anticipated how merciless the Fire Moth would be when it came to a Herrscher they deemed unstable.

Within a day of Lunelle relocating, every single identity document tied to her Previous Era self was revoked. She watched in real time as her legal existence vanished from the system.

And that was only the beginning.

The Fire Moth's surveillance was relentless. They tracked her coordinates, movement patterns, even predicted her resting spots with horrifying precision.

Whenever she tried to lie low in a bustling residential zone, it would be quarantined and filled with traps within minutes. It was like being stuck in a real-life "FBI Open Up!" montage.

Lunelle barely survived.

If not for her simulated body's Honkai-augmented metabolism—one that required no food, sleep, or shelter—she would've starved or collapsed from exhaustion days ago. She had become, essentially, a self-sustaining fugitive.

Although she'd softened over time—her temper mellowed into something almost adorable, thanks to her [True Self] trait—Lunelle was no pushover. No matter how delicate she looked or how sweet she acted, once pushed, she retaliated.

After all, she hadn't done anything wrong! She was running a simulation, not waging war!

So when things spiraled, Lunelle had her own countermeasure: summoning another version of herself.

"Please… Another me," she would murmur.

And with pride in her eyes and indulgence in her smile, Dark Seele—first wife, top-tier enforcer—would answer with a low, affectionate hum. "Ah, really… I can't say no to you."

Then, she'd act.

With the cold efficiency of a predator, Dark Seele would eliminate entire squads of Fire Moth agents without hesitation, treating them like noisy bugs to be squashed for disturbing her Lunelle.

Of course, she always demanded compensation afterward—mental ones. Lunelle would find her psyche twisted and teased until she couldn't form coherent thoughts.

Still, there was a downside. After Dark Seele wiped out several elite teams, Lunelle's danger level skyrocketed.

The next enemies weren't cannon fodder anymore. They were monsters.

It felt like a mobile game—one of those pay-to-win nightmares where the first stage is laughably easy, but the second throws boss monsters at you with inflated stats and zero logic. Lunelle couldn't pay for power-ups. The difficulty spike crushed her.

In the end, even Kevin himself, the Fire Moth's final boss, appeared without warning. A sneak attack. A "justified execution" from humanity's strongest hero.

Lunelle lost. Badly. It was humiliating.

Still, she received rewards from the simulation's final settlement—though the cost was… visible. Her "dumpling" size had officially reached C-level. For a girl who stood only 149 cm tall, it was a comically dramatic change. And yet, undeniable proof of her Honkai growth.

Her Honkai adaptability spiked by ten whole points in one go—the highest leap in history. She was just shy of fully matching simulated Seele.

Of course, her charm stat increased by only five. But that five alone equaled the full charm stat of a normal girl. She was now, essentially, a walking, talking, self-propelled succubus.

Current Attributes:

[Charm: 29]

[Intelligence: 10]

[Physical Strength: 63]

[Honkai Adaptability: 60]

Bonuses:

+3 Charm (Women's Clothing Talent)

+5 Adaptability (Women's Clothing Talent)

+10 Adaptability (True Self Talent)

Conversion Rate: Honkai Energy → Physique (1:1)

By all metrics, she now matched the strength of a standard B-rank Valkyrie—without a stigmata. It was absurd. Even Durandal, the strongest of Schicksal, couldn't improve that fast.

Logically, she should've launched another simulation immediately. Maybe even aim for a deliberate F-rank to milk the system. But… something felt wrong.

A cold, crawling unease crept up her spine.

Lunelle knew this feeling. It was the same ominous instinct that had warned her before she lost her "second brother"—the part of her she had never introduced to her own right hand.

That premonition hadn't been wrong.

And now it was back. Whispering that something terrible—something worse than losing her "second brother"—was waiting for her once she fully matched Seele's stats.

Still… when the cooldown reset, Lunelle pressed forward. She had no choice.

After all, this simulator… it would keep scheming.

Even if she dodged its tricks today—could she really dodge them forever?

Especially now, when she'd seen with her own eyes what happened to Kiana. She had risked her life to save her—once. But what about next time?

She hadn't been in this world long. Just a few days. And yet…

To have grown this much…

To be able to stand… even just a little… against giants…

Wasn't that already something incredible?

Situations where she could only stand by and watch—unable to do anything, no matter how hard she tried—Lunelle had always hated them. Even if there were reasons she couldn't fully understand, she knew one thing for sure.

She didn't want it to happen again.

If getting stronger meant being able to protect her wives, then... what did it matter if the dumplings got a little bigger?

Thinking that, she sighed to herself. Her dignity as a respectable blue-haired maiden took yet another hit, but with no one around and nothing to do, what else was there?

Killing time with a few quiet rounds of "mahjong" didn't seem like such a bad idea.

...Ahem. Let's skip the details. You can imagine the rest on your own.

In any case, the path of a Herrscher still seemed like something worth testing.

But Lunelle couldn't shake the strange sense of dread that clung to her. She had a feeling that if she failed again, the simulator might punish her for it. So this time, she chose a different route—dangerous, yes, but also with potential.

In short: murder and surrender.

The second simulation began with her casually eliminating the scumbag without much fanfare.

Then, after pacifying the restless Seele—who'd nearly spiraled out of control—Lunelle went straight to the place where she remembered being hunted down. No excuses, no tricks. She turned herself in to the Fire Moth's conservative branch.

A Herrscher surrendering of her own free will. Unheard of.

Naturally, the conservative faction reacted with alarm. Parliament members gathered in an emergency meeting, struggling to decide how to deal with this strange Herrscher.

Most of them leaned toward a swift, quiet execution. Kill her in a cell before she became a problem.

But just as that conclusion was starting to settle—

A different voice broke through the silence.

"Instead of killing a Herrscher who can apparently be guided and contained... why not study her?"

The one who spoke was Dr. MEI. A new member of parliament, recently appointed with support from the organization's top combatant.

The room fell quiet.

It was true—if MEI's idea worked, it would bring far more benefit to Fire Moth than a simple execution ever could. But the risk was obvious. A Herrscher was a living weapon. If anything went wrong, the consequences would be catastrophic.

Until now, researchers only dared to experiment on corpses, or at most, the dormant cores.

Studying a living Herrscher? That was something else entirely.

And yet, before the discussion could continue, someone else walked in.

Elysia.

Her presence immediately shifted the mood. Flawless, composed, and far from ordinary, she entered the chamber with her usual calm and gentle smile.

"Hmm? Isn't MEI's suggestion worth considering?" she said, lightly. "Besides, I'm sure Mobius would be thrilled to hear there's a living Herrscher waiting to be studied~"

MEI turned to her in surprise. She hadn't expected Elysia to intervene—let alone speak as if she had Mobius's backing. Especially without discussing it beforehand.

Still, MEI took the chance.

"If Lady Elysia is voicing support on behalf of Dr. Mobius," she said, calmly, "then I ask everyone here—does anyone still object?"

With both MEI and Elysia behind the proposal, no one dared to speak up.

The vote passed. Just like that, Lunelle's fate was sealed.

Later, MEI pulled Elysia aside.

"You spoke for Mobius. Are you sure she'll agree?"

Elysia only smiled. "Oh, I don't know what Mobius would think. But this Herrscher is a pretty girl, isn't she? That should count for something~"

MEI stared at her, stunned. "...What?"

She'd known Elysia could be bold, but this was on another level. Acting in Mobius's name without so much as a warning?

If Mobius found out…

MEI sighed. She was the one who made the proposal. If anyone ended up in Mobius's crosshairs, it would be her.

Still, what was done was done.

Back in the simulation, Lunelle sat in her holding cell—quiet, calm, and strangely at ease.

Then a soft prompt appeared in her mind.

[Stage 1 complete. Would you like to unlock the new mode: "Daily Plot Simulation"?]

"Huh? I passed? I'm in jail," Lunelle muttered, blinking.

She hadn't expected anything from this run. She'd turned herself in just to avoid another pointless chase.

Yet here it was—a reward. A new path.

Curious, she asked Systema for details.

The explanation was simple. Unlike previous simulations that ended in death, this new "daily simulation" offered a safer path: survive one week in the scenario, and receive a guaranteed D-grade reward—no penalties, no risk.

The reward wasn't large. A small boost in Honkai adaptability.

But it was the first time she had a stable way to grow stronger without gambling everything.

Even better, helping important characters wouldn't reduce her gains.

Lunelle didn't hesitate.

"Start the new mode," she said.

The simulator began initializing, and her awareness faded as the system prepared the next phase.

When she opened her eyes again, she was back in reality.

And there, sitting quietly in her inbox, was something unexpected.

Her admission letter to St. Freya Academy.

A new chapter of her life was about to begin.
