The ground trembled fiercely, the trees screamed as the ground they called home was destroyed, and all of a sudden, it was like he was back in the Wasteland.
Like a sandworm was charging at him from afar, the ground tore apart into two halves. Dirt, grass, and rock flew everywhere. Just dodging to the sides wasn't enough. The force spread and dispersed to the sides, so that would be the same as throwing himself into flames to avoid an inferno.
With gritted teeth, Gio charged into the sky, knowing the consequences he would face by doing so.
Neriah acted on his expectations. She obviously wouldn't miss the chance to take him out while he was mostly immobile.
