Adam folded his arms, gaze steady.
"I'm worried about Elaric, but that doesn't mean I trust you. Don't bother lying to me either."
His voice sharpened slightly.
"I have the ability to discern lies from truths."
Celestia slowly exhaled, blinking once.
Her voice came softer this time, but not weak.
"Elaric himself was the one who first told me about the hidden floor. It was confirmed later by the viewer currently sponsoring me."
She glanced upward briefly, as though she could see through the fabric of the floor and into whatever spectator loomed above.
Then she returned her focus to him.
"As for the reason I want to find it…"
Her voice dropped to a whisper.
"My sponsor told me that it's a place that holds everything you could ever want. Every desire, every answer. Is that not tempting enough?"
Adam's eyes narrowed.
His gut told him she was telling the truth.
