"There is no redemption—only the raw, unending fury of destruction."

"Pure Hatred, Unbound and Unrelenting."

Name: Hate

Role: Killer

Difficulty: Extreme

Lore

When Raziel collapsed, his soul tore itself from its failing body. In that final moment, the Entity claimed the remnants—a sacrifice of the tormented phantoms within—only to retrieve them into a replica of the fallen vessel. But something within that stolen shell resisted, and hatred began its slow, corrupting work. The body was twisted and remade, its flesh blackened and reshaped by a malignant force. Thus, Hate was born—a being that no longer thinks or hesitates, a natural hunter of demons and mortals alike.

Hate embodies pure, all-consuming malice. He cares not for strategy or order, and his only instinct is to tear his prey apart in the most horrific fashion. His favorite method is a prolonged, gruesome dismemberment—breaking limbs, shattering bones, opening the torso to expose and violently manipulate organs—an excruciating death that he inflicts when circumstances force him to strike swiftly. Even so, the ever-pressing threat of desperate survivors, the Entity's insatiable demands, and the interference of spectral forces force him to sometimes abandon his preferred, drawn-out methods in favor of more rapid, brutal kills.

Meanwhile, Chara has slipped free of the Entity's grip, and with her indomitable will, she summons a fractured version of Frisk—the girl who perished under Hate's wrath in another world—whose soul was absorbed long ago. These forces, ever-present and unpredictable, now form a constant backdrop to Hate's carnage.

Killer Power: Abyssal Hunger

Hate wields his power through a corrupt blend of physical might and dark, malevolent magic, altering the very fabric of the trial to suit his vicious nature.

Primary Abilities:

Vision Corruption:

Activation: Hate can target a specific survivor or a designated area, triggering an aura of darkness. Effect: Survivors caught in the radius experience rapidly deteriorating vision: the environment darkens, and disturbing red lines form demonic smiles across walls and floors, shifting and writhing to disorient and terrify them.

Abyssal Descent:

Hate can dissolve his body into a formless, molten state, allowing him to vanish underground. While submerged, he travels unseen for a short duration before reemerging anywhere within range.

Note: He must surface to attack, and during his subterranean transit, his presence is betrayed only by ominous sounds.

Tentacle Surge:

Hate extends his writhing tentacles either to propel himself across the map or to strike at survivors from a distance. These tentacles can travel underground, bypassing obstacles, and inflict devastating, tearing damage upon contact.

Phantom Summoning

Hate's malefic influence distorts reality, allowing him to summon spectral manifestations of his tortured past to sow chaos on the trial. Unlike other killers, he does not rely on hooks; his phantoms serve to compound the terror he instills.

Summoned Phantoms:

Phantom Toriel:

A ghastly figure wreathed in searing white flames, she advances slowly to incinerate survivors with her relentless, burning assaults.

Phantom Papyrus (Original):

A formless, bone-chilling specter that attacks with lethal, jagged bone lances, impaling its targets with brutal efficiency.

Phantom Undyne:

Manifesting as a relentless force of melting, white-hot spears, she stabs at survivors with unyielding ferocity, disrupting their movements.

Phantom Frisk (Original):

A dark, malevolent apparition wielding a vicious knife, Phantom Frisk attacks indiscriminately—striking survivors, and even turning on Hate or other phantoms if they interfere.

Cad (UltSans' Papyrus Version):

An ominous presence shrouded in toxic green mist, Cad corrupts the environment by filling areas with a deadly, vision-obscuring smoke that slowly drains the vitality of any survivor who lingers.

Uncontrolled Manifestations:

Frisk (UltSans' Version):

This fractured soul appears at random near survivors, offering unpredictable assistance by accelerating healing or generator progress—an echo of a forgotten past that neither obeys Hate nor serves his design.

Chara:

A faint, crimson presence, Chara appears unpredictably near survivors or in the immediate vicinity of Hate. She moves to protect survivors or to momentarily restrain Hate from delivering fatal blows. Though her interference can delay his assaults, it cannot completely halt his onslaught.

Killer Perks

1. Devourer's Carnage

Effect: Each time a survivor is torn apart by Hate's strikes, nearby survivors suffer from a temporary reduction in skill check speed and increased noise notification for 10/15/20 seconds.

Additional: Killing survivors in rapid succession amplifies this effect, stacking up to hinder survivor coordination.

2. Tainted Carnage

Effect: When Hate lands a successful melee strike on a survivor, that survivor becomes afflicted with Hemorrhage, causing them to lose health over time and reducing their recovery speed by 15/20/25%.

Additional: If the same survivor is struck by a tentacle surge within a short period, the effects are intensified, leaving them vulnerable to rapid demise.

3. Phantom Reckoning

Effect: Following a savage strike, a random phantom from Hate's summoned roster manifests near an active generator or a downed survivor, applying its unique debuff for 12/16/20 seconds.

Additional: These phantoms roam independently, forcing survivors to either escape their area of influence or suffer debilitating effects.

Playstyle

Hate is a brutal, relentless killer who revels in tearing apart survivors the moment he encounters them. Rather than capturing survivors with hooks, he rips them asunder in a fury of clawed strikes and devastating tentacle assaults. His power is built on overwhelming force and area denial:

Map Control: His Vision Corruption shrouds the environment in chaos, while his tentacles and Abyssal Descent allow him to traverse the trial in unexpected ways.

Psychological Terror: The constant threat of sudden, brutal strikes—augmented by his summoned phantoms—forces survivors into a state of perpetual fear and disorientation.

Dynamic Pressure: With each savage attack, Hate's abilities grow in intensity, punishing survivors who dare linger in his domain.

Strengths

Unyielding Brutality: His direct, hookless attacks tear survivors apart immediately, leaving no room for escape.

Area Denial: Vision Corruption and phantom summoning disrupt survivor coordination, making it extremely difficult for them to progress on objectives.

Unpredictable Movement: Abyssal Descent and Tentacle Surge allow him to reposition with chaotic precision, striking from unexpected angles.

Relentless Aggression: His raw, physical power ensures that survivors are quickly overwhelmed, forcing desperate, often fatal, decisions.

Weaknesses

Phantom Unpredictability: While his summoned phantoms add to his menace, their independent nature means they can occasionally hinder his own effectiveness—especially when Phantom Frisk turns on him.

Subterranean Transit Limitations: Abyssal Descent, while useful for surprise attacks, is slower and audible, giving alert survivors a chance to react.

Chara's Interference: The unpredictable appearance of Chara can momentarily delay his attacks, providing survivors with brief windows to escape.

Risk of Overextension: His extreme aggression may leave him momentarily vulnerable if survivors time their evasions correctly or if the environment is manipulated with specialized relics.

The Entity's Verdict

The Entity revels in Hate's unbridled savagery. It sees in him the perfect embodiment of pure, unadulterated terror—a killer who does not merely capture souls but obliterates them in a maelstrom of rage. The Entity favors his raw power and the way his presence reshapes the trial into a landscape of despair and carnage. Yet even the Entity is cautious; Hate's uncontrollable brutality can sometimes upset the delicate balance it requires to sustain the endless cycle of fear. In its dark, inscrutable manner, the Entity both adores and loathes him—a cherished instrument of horror that, if left unchecked, might even one day disrupt the very order it has long maintained.

Hate stands as a nightmarish force—capable of instilling terror with every brutal, unrelenting strike. His ferocity and the chaotic interplay of his summoned phantoms make him a killer that survivors will never forget, yet his own vulnerabilities remind all that even the darkest rage has its limits.
