Primrose was still half-asleep when Marielle and Solene guided her into the bathroom and helped her get dressed.
They made sure the Queen wore something comfortable since she'd be sitting in a carriage for a very long time.
"You can't fall asleep again, Your Majesty," Solene said gently, keeping Primrose's head from drooping onto the vanity. Marielle was already fixing her hair, trying to make it look neat. "We need to leave before the sun rises."
"Why are we leaving so early?" Primrose grumbled, pointing toward the window. "Just look at the sky, it's still dark!"
Solene sighed patiently. "Your Majesty, remember what I said? It takes two full days by carriage to reach Moonshadow City from the capital. If we leave too late, we won't make it to the first inn before nightfall."
Primrose puffed out her cheeks. "I already told His Majesty I didn't need a carriage."
