It was early morning when Dominic sent a maid to get me to his study. I had just woken up from sleep. I was awake until very late at night, hoping for Dominic to return home. But he was out the whole night.
So, when he called me so early, I got up quickly, washed my mouth and put on a robe before heading towards his study.
I saw Carla from the second-floor corridor. She was fuming with anger and giving Dominic's soldiers in the foyer a hard time.
When I finally reached the study, the scene there was something I had never seen before. The condition of the man who harassed me last night made my stomach churn, and goosebumps rose on my skin.
I took a few moments to get back to normal before it registered to me that Dominic was giving me the choice to decide his fate.
