Leaving Diana with Antonio, I turned and rushed out of the banquet hall, while my whole body was buzzing with anger, worry and… fear.
Some guests stopped me on the way, but I didn't spare a glance at anyone. My eyes darted around the hallway outside the banquet hall, but everything looked fine and calm.
Dialling Alex's number, I walked in the direction of the washroom.
I spoke as soon as he received the call,
"Take the guards and come inside. It's an emergency."
"Roger, Boss."
Cutting the call, I rounded the corner but stopped on my tracks as something sparkling caught my eye.
I looked around the floor and there it was, Jane's sparkling bracelet lying on the floor just a little away from where I was. My heart skipped a beat as I picked it up to make sure it really was Jane's.
Looking around some more, my eyes caught sight of a ring at some distance, which led to a dark hallway.
I sprinted towards the ring and picked it up.
That's my Jane. My smart badass Jane.
