"What do you mean you'll do this for your brother?"
"I don't want to talk about it."
Lautaro stayed silent. He had a brother somewhere in this world but he couldn't understand why Salvey was uncomfortable talking about his. He figured that he should just leave the subject alone, but one subject his mind could not leave alone was what had Salvey done.
He wanted to stay away from the bad thoughts but they all lined up. He had a feeling of what indescribable crime Salvey had committed but he did not want to believe and did not believe it.
But the evidence was right in front of him. He had to decide on whether to trust Salvey or to go with the most logical option. Lautaro's intuition always went against logic and his intuition was almost always right.
He had to believe in Salvey. It seemed something else had been amiss. Was it all a scheme? Had Rae lied? Lautaro needed to find out how to bring his Golden Boy justice.
He didn't deserve to go through all of it. The way his dad reacted when Lautaro rang the doorbell showed that they had been harassed before. But why did nobody believe Salvey? The boy looked handsome when his eyes weren't sunken. He was smart both ways. He didn't like getting into trouble from what Lautaro had seen.
Maybe it was an entire ploy and Salvey never saw it coming. He was smart but maybe the reason why he can predict everything and is ready for most scenarios is because he does not want to be tricked again. But for now, Lautaro had other things to focus on.
He had two more days. Two mere days for him to defeat the Machine of Perfection. He did not know how, but the will inside him still was aflame and he was going to nurture the fickle flame until it went ablaze.
At that certain moment, Lautaro thought of an idea. A wide crazy smirk slid across his face. He had a genius idea, normally it was Genesis who was the genius but not this time, this time Lautaro was in the spotlight.
"If you could can copy everyone why don't you copy Macell and fight me?"
"I was just going to say that."
Turns out his idea was not so genius.
They made their way to the basement of Salvey's majestic manor and Lautaro found himself in a dojo. There were pieces of equipment lying everywhere. The basement was almost as big as Lautaro's house. His mouth was left with a gaping hole of surprise.
"How is this possible?"
"My brother is a rich man."
Salvey replied nonchalantly.
His brother was rich indeed. There were all sorts of things there. Some Lautaro knew off and some Lautaro dreamed off. This was a training paradise.
"My brother was really into fighting, so he made this entire basement a gym."
"No kidding."
Lautaro immediately went to one machine he knew very well. He had never tried to use this machine before as he had never seen it before. He placed his fist on one of the hands of the machine, there was an ident there, a big, fist-shaped indent.
Then Lautaro got to work. He fought with the wooden rotating punching bag. He kicked and jumped over the swiftly swinging bag. He punched and ducked under the spinning punching bag aimed at his head. It works, it worked better than Lautaro expected.
There were 7 individual hands on the spinning punching bag. Each of them worked as they were made to, if not better.
"Are you done testing it out?"
Lautaro nodded.
"Okay then, let's fight."
The arena was made in a hurry as there was so much loose material in the way. A practice brawl between the two was about to happen. Lautaro felt his feet against the cold wooden floor and he could almost see his breath. But it was no matter as this battle was going to beat him up.
Salvey attacked first with a large hook, perfect for Lautaro to counter, almost too perfect. Lautaro didn't flinch as he intercepted the other fist with a grab and tried to pin him to the floor. Then it hit him, the early feint Salvey did was never a feint at all. The only reason why it appeared so was because the hook was slow and instead of another hook Salvey performed a jab, a quick one at that.
His head recoiled. He felt it reverberating through his skull, how hard could Golden Boy punch?
"I don't expect Macell to do that when he fights you but you have to be prepared for anything."
Lautaro said nothing, he was still not in good condition because of the fight with Macell but that punch hurt. He shook it off he had to win. His smile went a little less happier and his eyes went a lot more brighter.
Salvey approached him with a dempsey roll, same as Macell. A perfect copy of the Machine of Perfection. But Lautaro was more than that to be bested by a copy, especially if that copy was perfect. Because he was beyond perfect.
His smile changed into one of madness. He was chaos incarnate. He was reckless and brazen but chaos is bound by no order.
He lured Salvey into a corner at this point his back was against the wall. He locked both of his hands together and tried to slam Salvey down but it was a feint to attack Salvey's fists.
He used both legs and locked them to Salvey's hands. At this point Lautaro was unbalanced but that was perfect for him. He used his now free hands to push himself off the wall in such a way that he was then able to slam Salvey into the cold, hard floor.
But Salvey's arms were still locked by Lautaro's and Lautaro used that, along with flexibility to flip Salvey into the air and also get into a position where he could pounce at Salvey and pounce he did.
He lunged at the disoriented boy in the air. Punching him up again and then performing a double axle kick. His first leg went at his head, and the next slammed him down again.
Lautaro approached Salvey and he stood up. Lautaro knew Salvey was hurting, really hurting. His strength may have been almighty but his durability was lacking.
"Why don't you yield?"
Lautaro asked, feeling a smile across his face from sounding wise.
"Because Macell could easily get back up after that. You have to do better. He is a machine, you just have to be the destroyer of it."
Of course, Golden Boy outshines him in wisdom, he could never win with Salvey could he?
They got back to fighting. Salvey attacked, hook after hook, and Lautaro evaded. After a while of dodging Lautaro swept Salvey off his feet as he was getting too close to being cornered. But the boy didn't budge and Lautaro was in an awkward position.
In an attempt to use his disadvantage to his advantage, Lautaro pushed off the ground to attack Salvey but it was too late. Salvey used an overhead attack to slam him down, luckily Lautaro had managed to block it reducing some of the damage. But Salvey was not done with him, not yet.
He performed hook after hook, with an unknown elegance. The way his fist soared through the air was exactly the way Macell punched. So much so that it reminded Lautaro of him. After taking blow after blow Lautaro knew it was time to end this.
So he went on the offensive instead of stepping backwards he only moved forwards no matter what he stepped through it. He blocked and grabbed one of Salvey's punches. He pulled him and used his head to perform a nasty headbutt. Salvey's nose started to bleed.
Whilst Salvey was still stunned Lautaro used the little Taekwondo he knew and integrated it into his Capoeira. Each one of his kicks was now quicker than before, but most of all deadly. He kicked so fast that it looked as if he had skipped forward in time.
His Capoeira was so tricky even Salvey could not predict what was to come next. But when he did he could do nothing to stop it. He was dancing a dance of chaos once again. The carnage he caused could not be stopped by any means.
Even when Salvey perfectly copied Macell chaos could not be prevented. It just showed even in utmost order, chaos would come. And Lautaro was a wizard at making chaos come, one could call him a chaos magician.
Lautaro, mid dance, switched to an attack. Using both his hands and putting his legs together to make a sort of spear, then he pushed against the floor and used his spear to stab Salvey in the gut. The attack was so fast Salvey did not even know what happened, he just had lost.
Salvey held his gut and puked out blood. Lautaro immediately came rushing to his aid.
"Sorry if I overdid it."
"It was bound to happen to either one of us."
Salvey spoke once again.
"It won't be as easy to defeat Macell as it is me. I can only copy their fighting style not their physicality or traits."
"I know it definitely won't be as easy but I'm prepared. I know I can do it. If not then I lose it all."
Salvey chuckled.
"You can always start again. You can always come back and restart your dream of uniting the highschool 4. You can't lose it all."
But Lautaro could infant lose it all if he lost this bout he did not know whether or not he would gain a second chance. Little did Salvey know, but he could know. Lautaro took a deep breath.
"I actually can lose it all. I came from one of those fantasy worlds with a quest and if I don't complete the quests I don't know whether or not I'll get to go back and see my friends again."
Then Lautaro exhaled.
"Huh."
Salvey said calmly.
"I don't like the way you're reacting."
"This was in my book of predictions, bu-"
Lautaro interrupted him with pure annoyance.
"Holy moly shut up. You and your book of predictions. All I wanted to say is that if I complete my quest I'll go back to where I came from and the Lautaro you'll be stuck with will be different."
Salvey laughed at Lautaro's annoyance.
"You acted differently. The Lautaro I barely knew before would not want to help me in that alleyway. He wouldn't even want to be next to me because of the rumors."
"But I do have some questions."
"And what are they?"
"Did you take his body?"
Lautaro pondered for a while, even he didn't know the question.
"I wasn't told about that part but it's like a sybiotic connection. Most of the time I'm in full control but sometimes the other Lautaro's feelings seep in."
"A symbiotic connection?"
"Yes sybiotic, symbiotic whatever."
Salvey looked up to the ceiling.
"Did he volunteer to give his body to you? Was this all of his own free will?"
The question struck Lautaro hard. He knew he loved his free will and if someone tried to take it from him he would try anything to get it back. He hadn't really thought of the morality of the scenario. What if the boy had other plans, dreams that he wanted to fulfill? What if he didn't want the gang life?
This was completely and morally wrong.
[Evolution does not care about morals. Does a lion care when it eats a hare? Does a person even bother to apologise to an ant it stomped on. This body wasn't able to resist the takeover, you deserved to take it over because it was weak. It is simply natural selection, the weak either get strong or die. But most of all never forget where you are Lautaro, you are in the World of Evolution, the world of morals and evolution are on two different planes. Parallel lines that should and will never interact.]
His ADAM spoke to him for the first time in a while, the first and the last time.
'Yo Cassio where have you been?!'
There was no response. Only silence.
"Your silence doesn't sit right with me."
"No he did not choose to be taken over. But he simply could not fight against it."
Salvey tilted his head slightly.
"Who are you?"
To answer Salvey's last question Lautaro said something, something he did not want to say but had to, unwillingly he spoke.
"I am Lautaro Sanchéz. I am just a thread in the tapestry of evolution but I will bring about chaos and I shall revel in the calamity that is myself."
