Genevieve's eyes snapped open, her heart racing like a wild animal in her chest. She lay there, disoriented and confused, as she struggled to remember where she was and what had happened.
As her gaze darted around the room, she felt a spectacular spark around her, seemed she had been in the room before. It looked and smelt so familiar. The scent was tempting and so familiar that she could smell it from anywhere.
Genevieve's mind was foggy, but she could see flashes from the anguish, how she had been blindfolded and led to an undisclosed location, how she had begged them to pardon her and release her, but all no was to avail. They didn't heed any of her pleas. Instead, she was killed. That was when the reality attacked Genevieve that she had left Edric's past and she was now in her present.
"I'm I'm I'm in my room." She finally talked, her eyes scanning through the room.
Almost immediately, a maid walked in with a big toy, and a variety of food and drinks was there.
