Sniffing its head around, the creature moved its head toward Ava.
Its eyes matched Ava's.
Ava, who had been hiding and quietly watching all this, gasped with this sudden development of the situation.
The least she wanted would be a prized trophy between these two mutants.
"Grrr." The creature then looked back at Vin whose one arm had been cut off by the creature.
It swayed its tentacle in the air, as if teasing Vin before launching all three of them at Ava.
The three tentacles launched toward Ava at a frightening speed, and punctured the desk she had been hiding behind.
Luckily, they missed her by only a hair's breadth.
The creature contracted its tentacles back again, while doing so it shattered the bench it had pierced through, revealing the frightened Ava.
Ava's breath stopped, the creature was clearly looking at her, swaying its tentacles in the mid air, ready to attack her again.
