Cassius and Sophia sat side by side in the surveillance room, watching the screens showing different angles of the bustling festival. One screen in particular caught their attention—Kendrick and Zephany laughing as they tried their luck at a dart-throwing booth.
Sophia raised an eyebrow, arms crossed. "It's happening."
Cassius leaned back in his chair, a rare smirk tugging at his lips. "Took them long enough."
Sophia gave him a side glance. "You practically forced them into this mission."
"I nudged," he corrected lightly. "Besides, those two need a push. At this rate, they'll still be dancing around each other until their contract ends."
"They're starting to forget it's a contract," Sophia said, her voice quieter. "You can see it in how they look at each other now."
Cassius folded his hands beneath his chin, staring at the screen. "That's the point."
