It was an old military base. I pulled into the parking lot and came to the double doors. When Moose saw me he jumped in his seat. He hit the button to let me in and burst through the office door. We met in the lobby. He bent to wrap his arms around me. My legs gave out and he slowly lowered me to the floor. He held me as I wept.
"Did anyone follow you?" When I shook my head he asked, "Did they hurt you?"
I shook my head again. With the mention of pain the image of the dead man flashed behind my eyes.
"I'm a killer."
"Shh," He soothed as he rubbed my back.
"Can... you... get," I forced each word out between sobs.
"Of course."
He left and in his stead Bianca came into my line of sight. She handed me a wad of paper towel as she came to her knees. She kept her hand on my back, her fingers running up and down my spine. Periodically she stroked my hair. I was too hysterical to tell her I appreciated her.
"Angela?" Belle called out, her feet pounding against the floor.
