Cashew watched the Crystalized Mont charge at him, caught off guard by its speed, he quicked dodged backwards, it struck the ground Cashew was originally standing in, sending dirt flying into the air, Deciding to take advantage of the temporary blindness, He Cast a Poison Rune on the ground in front of him, Retreating backwards while not taking his eyes off the dirt cloud.
A few moments have passed and suddenly, The Crystalized Mont came rushing out of the dirt cloud, charging directly at Cashew and not noticing the Poison Rune on the ground until it was too late.
The Crystalized Mont found itself surrounded in a cloud of poison, the poisonous cloud seeping into its body through breaths, The now Poisoned creature raised a paw and started rubbing its face with its forearm, letting out low whines of pain.
It looked at Cashew with bloodshot eyes, bloody tears falling down its face, a pained and angry expression, its as if it knows the spell it was just hit with can kill it, so it wants to take Cashew down with it.
The Crystalized Mont used its forearm to wipe its eyes one last time and then Charged at Cashew, Cashew responded by raising a Magical Barrier spell around his body and retreating back.
The book said the Magical Barrier was Tier 2, but he doesn't know how well it would hold up against the Crystalized Mont, he hopes it can hold, as this is his first time using it in combat.
The Poisoned beast continued to Charge at Cashew, aiming to pin him down instead of striking, It lunged at Cashew, Which he was able to dodge to the side and avoid it.
Not wasting any time, he launched 4 Ice Spikes into the dirt cloud, hearing a roar of pain as the dust cleared.
The Crystalized Mont's Hairless scarred skin had two Ice Spikes stabbed into it, both were in its side, slowly freezing the skin nearby the wounds.
It rubbed its face again, Eyes still bloodshot and crying blood, it coughed some blood out as well. It then started to shake its body like a wet dog, A small amount of crystals slowly disconnect from its body and are sent flying into the ground surrounding it. The Crystalized Mont coughed up more blood and Charged at Cashew once more, just as Cashew was about to dodge, the Discarded Crystals started to launch spells at him, Basic Elemental Spells, Such as Fire Ball, Earthen Rock, Ice Ball, Lightning bolt, but it discarded 12 Crystals, So Cashew had to dodge 12 spells and a huge monster charging at him.
Cashew let the Magical Barrier block some of the spells, dodging to the right, The Magical Barrier only took 4 spells before cracks started to litter its surface, glowing from the strain.
Cashew was more concerned with the cracks forming on his barrier that he didn't notice that the Crystalized Mont was no more than a meter away from him and still charging, crashing into the barrier and shattering it instantly, Cashew raised his arm to defend himself, the large monster responded to Cashews raised arm by chomping down on it, biting straight through the flesh and bone and ripping his arm off, tossing it to the side. Cashew screamed in pain, clutching his stump as the Crystalized Mont raised its paw above his head and slashed downwards, causing a massive gash to form on Cashews remaining arm and parts of his chest.
Cashew was expecting the improved healing he got from consuming dragon meat to regenerate his missing arm, but that didn't happen. The gashes on his remaining arm and chest healed up completely just fine, but his missing arm stump isn't healing.
The Crystalized Mont seemed to have noticed the chest and arm gashes heal up, so it lunged its head forward and snapped it's jaws on Cashews neck, biting down and shaking him violently.
Cashew, who was still alive, Weakly raised his remaining hand up and formed an Ice Spike, launching it into the Creatures Right Eye.
Reeling back in pain, Cashew took advantage and started Crawling away from the injured Crystalized Mont, tears filling his eyes from the pain and feeling like he's about to lose consciousness.
Seeing the creature clawing at the Ice Spike lodged in its eye, Cashew raised his hand and formed another Ice Spike in front of his palm, launching it at the Creatures neck, Causing it to gurgle blood in its mouth, it's eyes glazing over and it's body falling on its side. Cashew managed to kill a Crystalized Mont.
Cashew tried to stand up, only to collapse over, falling on his side. Aside from the severed arm, his body is perfectly healed, including the neck wound that should have killed him, it's as if someone doesn't want Cashew to die just yet.
Weakly crawling on the ground towards his severed arm, Cashew lined his stump with the severed arm on the ground, hoping it would reconnect itself and heal up.
Muscles started to extend from his arm stump reaching for it's missing half, the severed arm also had muscles regrowing and extending towards Cashews stump, pulling itself closer and reconnecting itself completely, regrowing missing flesh and tissue, healing up entirely.
Cashew passed out from the pain and woke up shortly afterwards because of the pain from his bones shifting and rebuilding itself.
Cashew was trying so hard not to scream in pain, he managed not to scream, but his entire body was sore from the fight.
Cashew: Never... Again... Ok, maybe again, simply to tough myself out... No! Never again!
Cashew stayed on the ground for a few minutes, trying to catch his breath and let the pain wear off.
Cashew: What's funny is... My Mana Pool feels perfectly fine. I don't feel drained at all. So I technically don't need to eat more dragon meat for the sake of more Mana...
He finally caught his breath enough to stand up, which he slowly attempted to do. Looking at the 12 Crystals on the ground that the Crystalized Mont discarded. Non of them look big, the largest one being the size of Cashews hand, the rest at least twice as small.
He slowly worked his way to each Crystal, collecting all 12 of them, then working his way back to the Crystalized Mont carcass.
Cashew: while this one is a lot smaller than the one that killed the dragon, it's still too big for me to carry or even drag. I wonder, is there a way to call my Stone Golem over here without leaving this spot?
Cashew pulled out his Golem Construction Spellbook and read through it, looking for something like a Recall spell or phrase that would call the Golem to his location.
After about 5 minutes of searching, Cashew chanted a phrase in a language he couldn't understand and a beam of light shot up from his body, the light disintegrated after about 5 seconds. The book says that means that the spell worked and the Golem is on its way to your location.
While waiting for his Golem to come here, he approached the Dragon Carcass, hoping to get more meat and maybe more scales.
Approaching the neck wound and the meat still looks fresh, as if it died no more than 5 minutes ago, taking that as a sign of the meat still being good even now, Cashew took out his Dadger and started cutting slices of meat off of the dragons neck wound, putting the slices on the ground next to him. He also pulled out some more dragon scales to keep.
By the time the Stone Golem reached his location, Cashew has collected 16 Slices of meat and 7 Dragon Scales. The slices of meat are the same size as last time, about the length of his forearm and thickness of his hand.
Putting the Golem Construction Spellbook and the dragon scales into his really cramped shoulder bag, Cashew approached the Stone Golem, prepared to give orders.
Cashew: Stone Golem. See that creature over there with the crystals growing out of its back? Do you think you can carry it? If so, raise your left hand.
The Stone Golem Raised its Left hand.
Cashew: Ok, go over there, pick the carcass up, and follow me home.
The Stone Golem did exactly as told, he picked the Crystalized Mont carcass up and carried it over its shoulder, following behind Cashew as he walked.
The two eventually reached home and Cashew ordered the Stone Golem to put the Carcass down near the front door of the house, which it did and returned to its spot behind the shrub, but before it could start heading back over, both the Stone Golem and Cashew noticed a small mob of sorts working their way up the road.
Looking at the mob, it's a group of 20 or so guards, all of them have guard armor on.
The Stone Golem was about to charge in and attack, but Cashew stopped him, stepping forward to confront the mob.
Cashew: You came back... Are any of the guards from yesterday here as well?
A guard stepped forward, Cashew assumes it's one of the guards from yesterday, the guard took his helmet off to reveal a clean shaven and young looking face with blonde hair.
Guard: Little boy who refuses to name yourself, you're under arrest for the murder of an innocent man, the murder of Rognil, and the incapacitation of Stilhs leg. Surrender peacefully and we will ensure your death is quick.
Cashew: I see... Do you or any of your friends have anything to say as well?
A few of the other guards started shouting profanities at Cashew, calling him a monster and hoping his death isn't quick, the yelling was so jumbled that he could barely make anything out of it. In the midst of the yelling, the Massive Guard, Bert, stepped forward. Not saying anything, he still had his helmet on, but Cashew could just tell that he was giving him a death glare.
Cashew: Stone Golem, in 10 seconds, if they have not turned around and started leaving within 10 Seconds, kill them. If they attack before you reach 10 seconds, then ignore the countdown and kill them then.
Cashew looked at the guards when he finished talking.
Cashew: Guards, you got 10 seconds to leave. You aren't worth the effort.
Cashew turned around and headed towards the Crystalized Mont carcass, examining the crystals on its back, looking for a way to harvest them.
The guards didn't take Cashews warning seriously, some started laughing, others were eyeballing the Crystalized Mont carcass, some were glaring at Cashew with hatred in their eyes, but their attention diverted back to the Stobe Golem after 10 seconds had passed.
The Stone Golem charged at Bert - the guard closest to him and raised his fist, throwing a punch directly at Berts face,
Bert was able to react fast enough and caught the stony fist with his hand, The Stone Golem immediately raised its other hand and threw it into Berts side, breaking several ribs and causing him to drop down to a knee,
In Response, Bert grabbed his Halberd of his back with his free hand and swung it down on the Stone Golems shoulder, causing stone to chip off.
In response, it grabbed the Halberd and snapped the top of the handle, causing the blade to fall to the ground while Bert continued to hold the handle. This caused Berts eyes to widen in fear, The Stone Golem let go of Berts other hand and grabbed him by the neck, pulling him closer and repeatedly punching him in the face, not stopping even after Bert went limp.
The other Guards could only watch in horror as the sound of wet flesh squishing filled the air, it eventually dropped Berts body and looked at the remaining guards, ready for more.
