Alexander looked up at the towering beast and could not help but shudder at its appearance.

The moment the spider saw the human raise his sword, it lunged forward. Its massive legs dug into the earth as it opened its jaws wide.
A sickly purple glow built up within its maw, and with a sharp hiss, it spat or rather, shot its venom at high speed.
The projectile flew straight toward Alexander. Prepared for the attack, he simply narrowed his eyes as he observed the burning, liquid-like substance hurtling through the air.

The attack tore through the air, sizzling as it corroded the ground upon impact. Toxic fumes rose from the affected area. But Alexander was nowhere to be seen.
