Hearing this, the adults were shocked and at a loss for what to do. They insisted on staying behind, not only because of their responsibility as teachers but also because they were holding onto the hope that the government would send a rescue team.
Now that there was no government anymore, who would come to rescue them? If they left this place alone, they might be able to survive, but what about the children?
