Kasela and Brenda arrived at the staff quarters and went in search of Mrs Caroline their dorm mistress. They were directed to her office. Mrs Caroline was already expecting them as she was already informed of their visit.
Kasela was a little nervous when they got to Mrs Caroline, after all they needed her permission to get out of the school compound. Kasela stood by and watched as Brenda did all the talking. After some time of negotiating and giving promises of coming back early, the hostel mistress gave them both a gate pass and warned them of the 9:O'clock curfew where students especially the Junior students aren't supposed to be seen outside.
They both took the gate pass, thanked the woman and left. Outside the school building, Brenda squealed in excitement, they entered a cab heading to the movie theater.
"I'm so excited" she said and nudged Kasela who looked bored and unhappy. "Cheer up, you're gonna love this movie, it's being played by my favourite actor and crush" she missed with a dreamy look on her face.
"Your favourite actor?" Kasela asked.
"Yeah, Jason Sanders, he's my favourite actor and in most of his movies , he likes protraying a vampire character " Brenda continued while Kasela frowned.
"I thought we weren't going to watch a horror movie" she mumured but Brenda heard her
"Trust me, it's isn't gonna be scary moreover you should see Jason, he's so handsome such that you wouldn't mind him being a vampire.
"Kasela frowned at her words "so even if he was a real vampire, you would still like him? She asked and Brenda paused to think about the question
"Well, I haven't thought about that, though he likes portraying his character as a vampire, he isn't one, it's even crazy trying to think that vampires exist" Brenda answered and sighed "Those vampires are fictional characters being portrayed by our actors, don't think much about it' she concluded.
The rest of the journey continued in silence, Brenda was busy with her phone while Kasela was in her thoughts.
Though it's been long since she had those frightening nightmares, those dreams still felt so real. 'No Kasela, there's no need to dwell on those useless dreams, as Brenda said vampires don't exist, they are fiction'. Kasela chided herself.
After some time, they arrived at the movie theater. Brenda bought two tickets and they sat on the second row, the movie was going to start in 30 minutes time. Kasela noticed how excited Brenda and the people behind them were especially Brenda who couldn't control her excitement and smiled from ear to ear.
After thirty minutes, the movie started, it was a vampire vs werewolf movie, Kasela took a deep breath when the movie began.
"Look over there, that's my Jason" Brenda said and pointed to the main protagonistof the movie on the big screen.
Kasela's eyes widen when she saw Jason, he was a tall, handsome guy who was being portrayed as a vampire price. His neatly combed grey platinum hair was shoulder length,he had a pair of sapphire blue eyes, a prominent cheekbone and plump red lips, in all he had a feminine beauty.
Kasela could see why her friend was head over heels for him, the guy was damn gorgeous. If Regalus beauty was known as Devilish, then Jason's beauty could be called Angelic.
Kasela shook her head to dispel her thoughts 'why was she comparing Regalus and Jason?' she decided to focus on the movie.
The vampires were involved in a feud with the werewolves due to the vampire prince's betrothed whom the werewolf prince fell in love with. Kasela wondered if the transformation of those werewolves were fictional too. She wasn't much of a movie lover and so didn't know about most of the movie editing.
Even Jason's changing into a vampire was terrifying too, the fangs will suddenly emerge and his eyes will turn red giving him a dangerous look. After two hours, the movie ended with the vampires gaining the upper hand and Jason the vampire prince getting married to his betrothed. The werewolf prince later fell in love with another woman and peace was restored between the two kingdoms. Kasela could see Brenda getting sad when Jason kissed the princess at their wedding and she stiffled a laugh when Brenda's eyes became teary.
"You don't understand that painful feeling when you see the love of your life getting lovey dovey with another" Brenda told Kasela when they were leaving.
"But it isn't real, their love is fictional too" she used the same words on Brenda making her glare at her.
"Yeah I know, but it still hurts imagining the hundreds of actresses he has kissed and acted romance with"
"Well, you know it's fictional but you still feel hurt, same goes for me. I was really scared of those scenes, though I know it wasn't real, I couldn't help but still feel scared. So now you can understand how I felt and why I hate horror movies" Kasela said and gave Brenda a knowing look.
"Honestly for me, that's not a horror movie,you would get to watch one and trust me you won't get to sleep for over a week" Brenda said.
