I waited patiently for them as they continued their chants.
"We thank him for providing the food we are eating. We pray for more provision," the Archmage said, and they all echoed the word "Solaryn."
Just when I thought the chanting had ended, they continued again, repeating the words over and over.
"We thank you, Solaryn, because finally, you've brought us the awakened soul." Once again, they all echoed the word "Solaryn" in response.
After what felt like an eternity of prayers, they finally concluded by diving back into their plates.
The food was surprisingly good—rich in flavors I hadn't expected. The grains were tender, and the broth had a depth that went beyond anything I'd tasted before. The spices? They were unfamiliar yet comforting, wrapping around my senses with each bite.
"I trust you're enjoying your meal," the man who had escorted me here earlier asked as soon as I finished my food. I nodded in response, unable to hide my approval.
