[Marys POV]
After going into detail about the type of arts Azrael wants to train in and learn, it's finally time for him to leave. I give my son a big squeeze and a kiss on the cheek goodbye and see him off.
Waving with slightly red ears, Azrael gets ready to leave. Though this cute sight draws out the primitive side of my brain, making me think about just wanting to lock him up forever and ever to keep him for myself.
As if sensing my hidden thoughts, his tatto briefly glows with mana and in a 'poof' he disappears into nothingness. That is until I notice him out of the corner of my eye using his little legs to run through the garden while glowing a silvery aura, getting as far as possible.
"Hehehehehehehehe" I let out a small 'giggle' at the antics my little baby gets up to. Looking to the side I notice my other much older baby giving him the same look as I.
'Huh, guess she takes after me more than I thought.'
After thinking this thought I put on a serious expression, completely changing the once carefree and joyous mood to a serious and gloomy atmosphere.
"Haaaah, Guess it's time to work again. Come then Arina, let's continue."
Saying this puts serious expression on her face to which saddens me briefly but I push that away as she has to go through this if she wants to be my successor.
Closing the window and sitting back into my seat, I uncover the hastily hid letter. The object of our stress and worry. Arina also quickly sits back in her seat next to mine, also re-reading the letter once more.
"That little shit! Always acting up and making a fuss when he's nothing more than a bug crawling around on everyone's shit!"
Arina exclaimed out loud in anger and letting out some killing intent as her emotions grow volatile. Noticing that I too was growing unstable, I force my emotions back to a state of calm and scold her to distract her from her anger.
"Language, young lady"
At my scolding words, Arina finally noticed where she was and apologised profusely in shame. That put a small smile on my face in humour, as well as boasting my mood a bit due to how cute she can be.
"Haaaah. I guess news about Azrael has finally spread about and it's only going to grow further due to him forming a core so early. And now that scum is having a tantrum about the fact Az isn't his."
Letting out a sigh, I think about the perpetrator of these incidents of the trouble around my territory. The biological father( sperm donor ) with three of my children.
Yes…. Three of my children. That creature, that lizard Alastor Andras who Is a noble of a neighbouring territory, and the one I was married to through a political marriage. I deeply regret not divorcing him soone thought. He was neglectful to my kids and either tried manipulating them or talking down to them with spit filled words. An all around unpleasant man to be around and an even worse farther.
And of course, as I divorced him even before Audrey was born, he is not Azraels farther.
"Even though he never cared for any of us, not even showing any interest at all in Audrey after she was born, is suddenly attacking us and hiding away like he my stalker. What a little prick!"
These words slip out my mouth before I even notice it. Suddenly reminded of who I'm wnd with I worl around to my daughter who instead of being pained by either my words or the memories of that disgusting Man, just nods along agreeing with my words and hate for her farther.
Taking a deep breath to still my spiraling emotions I pull Arina into a little hug to comfort her, even though it's probably not needed.
After sitting in each others embrace for a few minutes, we finally get back to work. Counter measures, I need them ASAP to stop this bastard before he can go to far. If not stopping, at least to stall him before I can get the proof and take this higher and get others to take him out.
Letting out one more sigh, this one just tired, I slump back into my chair briefly as I think about how long this night will be.
