"Come on, return to the Warp with me. I need a good chat with this parent of mine—whichever that is," said the Slaanesh Assassin.
"Ahem! Yes, yes, I understand. I'll take you to the great master right away," the Daemonette replied, coughing twice.
At that moment, a blood-red figure rapidly approached from the sky, clad in Blood Angel's power armor and wielding a massive sword and staff.
"Daemon! I've found you. There's no problem calling you the Scion of Slaanesh, is there?" Mephiston stared at the unfamiliar purple daemon before him.
He'd sensed the being's presence in his dreams, its soul shining like a purple beacon, exuding an evil that words could scarcely describe.
The moment Mephiston felt this power, he was jolted awake, instantly realizing that an exceptionally terrifying being had come into existence.
"You heard our conversation just now, didn't you?" The Slaanesh Assassin turned, squinting at the insignificant life before him.
"Yes, I happened to overhear it. You possess a physical form, Daemon. I won't let you return to the Warp or the side of the Prince of Pleasure. I'll kill you here and erase you," Mephiston declared, gripping his power sword and staring at the purple daemon before him.
'All I need to do is stall for a bit. The giant Custodes, the female Primarch, and the mighty Emperor's Avatar will arrive soon. Then we'll destroy this daemon together!'
"How amusing! You think you're up to it?" sneered the Slaanesh Assassin, swinging his purple demon sword and unleashing a terrifying sword wave.
Mephiston agilely dodged the massive sword energy, which shattered the mountain behind him.
Frowning at the shattered peak, Mephiston realized just how unprecedentedly strong this foe was! His psychic powers could not even sense the depth of the enemy's strength.
"Die, Daemon!" Mephiston roared, burning his psychic energy to unleash a devastating psychic storm at the giant purple figure.
The Slaanesh Assassin didn't move an inch, simply emitting a purple glow that instantly neutralized Mephiston's attack.
"You call that a psychic storm? Let me show you what a real one looks like," the Slaanesh Assassin snorted.
Empowered by the god force of Slaanesh, he drew energy from the Warp, forming a devastating storm that blasted toward Mephiston.
Mephiston suddenly felt like a leaf in a hurricane, utterly unable to move as the storm barreled toward him.
Even as one of humanity's most powerful psykers, he was helpless.
Their psychic powers weren't even on the same level—the enemy could open a Warp rift with a wave.
Lord Sanguinius—I'm coming to see you!
Mephiston closed his eyes, ready to embrace a glorious death. The Chapter Master would have to take over from here.
Just then, a golden figure appeared before Mephiston, dispersing the terrifying storm.
It was a man in golden armor, wielding a massive sword—the Avatar of the Emperor.
"So many annoying things!" the Slaanesh Assassin sneered, swinging his demon blade to clash against the golden sword of the Avatar.
Purple and gold energies collided.
Centered on the two, a terrifying psychic storm raged, blowing away nearby daemons. Mephiston jammed his sword into the ground, struggling to withstand the force.
The landscape looked apocalyptic as purple and gold lights lit up the planet, Slaanesh and the Emperor's powers clashing.
The two became streaks—one gold, one purple—soaring into the sky as they fought fiercely.
Purple sword energy and golden sword flashes flew. The commotion was so great even the armies battling the Tyranids noticed.
Custodes Ultraman and the female Primarch Elena immediately sensed the Emperor's energy and a surge of terrifying evil.
What level of battle is this?
Mephiston struggled to open his eyes, watching the two giants fight in the sky, powerless to intervene.
After a brief but intense battle, the purple light gained the upper hand, leaving a massive wound on the Emperor's Avatar.
The gigantic Avatar crashed to the ground, defeated—this Avatar Rhodes had only had one power-up and was no match for the Slaanesh Assassin.
Another golden figure rushed over: a Custodes wielding a power weapon, courageously attacking and forcing the Slaanesh Assassin back.
"Daemon! You will not shame the God-Emperor. I'll be your opponent," declared Custodes Ultraman.
Who would've thought such a terrifying daemon would exist on Baal? No matter what, it must be slain.
The Slaanesh Assassin snorted, swinging his purple demon sword as he charged at Ultraman.
A fierce duel erupted, their gigantic forms clashing like titans, unleashing shockwaves.
The Slaanesh Assassin's sword sliced the air with shrill howls of purple energy.
Ultraman wielded his power halberd, matching the demon in strength and speed, their weapons clashing again and again.
The Slaanesh Assassin sneered: "You're just an Ultra Beast, but I am Ace Killer—far beyond that. Especially after my master's enhancements—I'm maxed out, except for the final energy level. Even if you team up, you wouldn't be my match!"
After a few exchanges, Ultraman felt immense pressure—the purple-armored daemon's power was unfathomable.
Especially the Warp energy, which was a huge problem. If not for his armor, he'd already be defeated.
With a swing of his demon sword, the Slaanesh Assassin forced Ultraman back several hundred meters and turned toward the Warp portal.
Thanks to the sacrifices of a horde of daemons, the Warp rift had been torn wide enough for him to pass through.
"Tch! I don't have time to play with you today. Next time, we'll have fun," the Slaanesh Assassin said coldly, turning to the portal.
"No! Stop him, both of you! He's the Scion of Slaanesh—you can't let him meet Slaanesh!" Mephiston struggled up, calling out.
Such a terrifying being, if he returns to Slaanesh… Mephiston couldn't imagine the consequences.
He could suppress the Avatar and the giant Custodes at once!
Custodes Ultraman struggled up, intending to attack again, but a massive purple energy wave crashed into him.
It was an Emerium Beam infused with Slaanesh's power.
Blasted away, Custodes Ultraman felt agony throughout his body, drained of strength.
Struggling to rise, he found his body shrinking rapidly, exiting his giant state.
After taking a direct hit from the Emerium Beam, even an Ultra Beast couldn't endure.
His protective instincts triggered: when mortally wounded, he'd revert to human form and fall unconscious.
In Mephiston's despairing gaze, the Slaanesh Assassin stepped through the Warp portal and vanished from Baal.
Only then did Chapter Master Dante, Primarch Elena, and the Ultramarine Captain arrive.
They stared in shock at the devastated battlefield, the unconscious Custodes Ultraman, and the kneeling Avatar. What kind of being could defeat both of them?
"Mephiston, what happened? That purple daemon—what exactly is it?" Dante hurried to his Chief Librarian.
His Librarian had only briefly explained the situation before flying off.
He had no idea what had happened, why such a terrifying battle had broken out, or even where the Slaanesh army had gone. Even the Khornate daemons seemed to have vanished.
Why were the Avatar, Custodes, and Librarian all so badly hurt?
Mephiston was in a sorry state—just woken from unconsciousness, already enduring a terrifying battle. His body was at its limit, nearly collapsing.
"Cough… Sorry, Chapter Master Dante! I failed! The daemon returned to its mother or father's side! My body is breaking down—I may not be able to serve the Chapter any longer," Mephiston coughed up blood.
"No, you won't die, Mephiston!"
"He needs the Primaris super-augmentation surgery! Only that can save him," Elena said.
