That evening after having dinner, they all say in the living room to watch a variety show.
Fu Yongle was the one who broached the topic.
"We'll stay here tonight and tomorrow morning I and A'Jing will go back home ."
Fu Ling thought about it and still didn't say any words of persuasion
"Alright then. If everything's okay by tomorrow I'll send you both back."
Fu Yongle felt there was something wrong with his words but he didn't dwell on it. They watched until late into the night and Fu Yongle didn't notice the passage of time until he noticed his wife fall lightly on him.
He turned and saw she had fallen asleep. He looked around and noticed Fu Ling had left at some point. When he looked at the wall clock and saw it was past two in the morning, he was stunned. He had completely relaxed and let down his guard so he didn't know how much time had passed.
He turned off the television and supported his wife upstairs. He felt like it would be a bit difficult to wake up early tomorrow so what to do? How about.. just go back in the afternoon.
Fu Yongle made up his mind and his steps were lighter.
Fu Ling woke up before anyone in the house so he started making breakfast. About thirty minutes later, he noticed someone came downstairs and looked over. It was Xiu Jing who was about to slip back upstairs.
The atmosphere was a bit awkward and Xiu Jing took the initiative to speak to him
"You woke up before us both today"
Fu Ling nodded
"I went to bed a bit earlier. Is he still asleep?"
Xiu Jing nodded
"He seems to have slept later than us"
Fu Ling hummed and turned back to his cooking. He noticed when the person fled from the living room and was about helpless. Was he that scary?
Fu Yongle didn't wake up until breakfast was ready and even that, Xiu Jing was the one who had to forcibly drag him out of bed.
He went downstairs and say on the dinning table looking listless.
"I don't know how you youngsters manage to stay up late everyday. "
Fu Ling smiled and served the dishes. Everyone ate silently and the song of the ringing cellphone was particularly glaring.
Fu Ling took his phone with some annoyance but his brows immediately smoothened out when he saw the name.
"Hello?"
Gu Yunnain's slightly anxious voice came from the other end
"Ate you okay? Where are you? Ate you hurt?"
Fu Ling frowned
"I'm fine. Not hurt what's wrong?"
The couple took a few glances at him.
He felt the obvious relied from Gu Yunnain on the other end but he became anxious again
"What about your parents? Are they okay? Do you know where they are?"
Fu Ling put the phone on speaker phone
"They're right here do you want to talk to them?"
Fu Ling was already about to drop the phone on the table but Gu Yunnain hurriedly declined
"No no no no. I was just checking. I went to your house this morning, I wanted to surprise you but I found out that it had been broken into. I went inside and alot of things were broken. I thought you were hurt so I immediately called"
The chopsticks in Xiu Jing's fingers fell from her loosened hands and hit the plate with a clang
Fu Ling face Fu Yongle a glance and get immediately took his stunned wife away.
Fu Ling removed the og from speaker mode and leaned back on the chair.
"We didn't sleep there last night. I bought a house yesterday and moved. I don't know why but I had an ominous feeling so I rushed the move. I was going to tell you this morning as a surprise."
Gu Yunnain's heart finally dropped back into his chest
"It's good that nothing happened to you. So you know who might be responsible for this? It looked like a premeditated attack. From the sounds the neighbors heard, it was at a time when you would all have been asleep."
Fu Ling sneered and a hint of coldness flashed in her eyes.
"I have offended numerous people but not enough for them to want my life. As for the couple, they have been straightforward people all their lives so it's even more impossible for it to be from their side. Who else could it be except that little rat of the Fu family? I warned him severally not to mess with me but he just had to do this"
Gu Yunnain had the same guess so he wasn't shocked when he heard Fu Ling say that
"What are you going to do about it?"
Fu Ling smiled
"What else? Of course it's the Fu family who has to suffer. Since Fu Shilei can't even control one son, them maybe the Fu group should just seize to exist."
Gu Yunnain was taken aback. He didn't think Fu Ling would be so resolute and deal with them like this?
"Mnn. Whatever you say"
Fu Ling knew Gu Yunnain must have misunderstood and laughed softly
"I'm not killing off the Fu family okay? After all they raised me for this twenty something years. I'm not a white eyed wolf. But, I will make Fu Shilei understand that if he doesn't discipline his son and allows him to keep brushing his presence in front of me, then the Fu group will be the one to bear the punishment.
This was a lethal move. What Fu Shilei cared about the most was the Fu group. By doing this, Fu Ling was causing subtle enmity between them. If it were anything else, Fu Shilei wouldn't care and would even help the Fu kid cover up.
But if the interests of the company were put on the line... He could already imagine the scene. He laughed softly
"If you need anything, just let me know"
Fu Ling gave an affirmative and they ended the call. He turned around and saw Fu Yongle was standing at the door.
He noticed this person since and that was why he deliberately mentioned Fu Haoming.
He pretended to sigh and pinched his forehead putting on a tired look.
"Is there anything wrong?"
