Kael took to the air. He held onto Rhaea, arm wrapped around her waist.
The woman didn't deserve saving. But neither did Magnus. The two of them were the reason the Capitol was a city of suffering and not prosperity.
The two of them had seen their opportunity for power and taken it. They'd stepped on top of every person in the slums without care.
And Kael hated them for that.
With power came the ability to bring about change. And they had instead used it for evil.
But maybe they didn't have a choice. Maybe the Royals had forced them to be this way. People without a care in the world, bringing order to the chaos.
He wouldn't forgive her for this. And he wouldn't forgive Magnus either, but the two of them had more to offer than just their downfalls.
The information in their brains would be important. They could give insight on how to defeat the Royals. Or at least information on what to expect.
And that was exactly what Kael needed.
