Watching Lin Chao jump from the top floor, the three were shocked.
But then they remembered—Lin Chao still had gliding abilities, so he likely wouldn't die. Maybe this was just his means of escape?
But… buy firecrackers?
What did that mean?
Was he implying that Donald's death should be celebrated?
That seemed to be the case. But would he really call them just to say that? Wasn't the purpose of this meeting to discuss business after killing Donald?
Wait... buy firecrackers?
Sarah Han's eyes suddenly widened!
She remembered a conversation she had with Lin Chao after yesterday's mission…
"Then if I really blow up the headquarters of Military Tech, you're not allowed to set off firecrackers, okay?"
"If you actually blow it up, we'll definitely set off firecrackers!"
A massive chill swept through Sarah Han's entire body.
"Director! Mr. Chen, he means more than he's saying!" Sarah quickly warned.
The two men were stunned, but before they could react, the video feed flickered and switched perspectives—to an exterior shot.
Clearly, they were now seeing footage from the armed drone Lin Chao had connected earlier.
In the footage, Lin Chao wasn't gliding to escape as they had assumed.
Instead, he was sprinting down the building, stepping off pillars and wall ridges directly toward the ground!
"What the hell is he doing?" the older man frowned, puzzled.
Sarah stared, then slowly muttered, "I don't know… but I have a feeling…"
"Military Tech… might be doomed…"
Bang bang bang…
Using the [Unconventional Maneuver] granted by the Blacklight Virus, Lin Chao sprinted down the walls with incredible speed—so fast he outpaced free fall.
The armed troops on the ground, panicking at the sight of his unnatural movement, didn't hesitate.
They opened fire.
Boom! Whoosh! Ch-ch-ch-ch…
Gunfire and explosions lit up the night sky as chaos erupted.
But none of it could stop the figure hurtling toward the ground like a missile.
BOOM!!!
Lin Chao slammed into the earth, sending up a massive cloud of dust and smoke.
The impact should have crippled anyone. Even Lin Chao's legs cracked under the force.
But in seconds, his shattered bones healed completely.
Through the haze, Lin Chao grinned at the advancing armed forces and towering buildings.
At the same time, a black card in his backpack shattered.
Instantly, the Blacklight Virus within him surged violently.
Thick, black-red tentacles the size of arms erupted from his body, writhing in madness.
"Hahahahaha! Look closely, everyone!"
"This is the price you pay for messing with me!"
"Now… explode!!!"
BOOM!
Shhhhhh…
The smoke detonated outward as countless black and red tentacles burst forth at supersonic speed.
Boom!
Crack! Crash!
In moments, the entire Military Tech industrial park plunged into apocalyptic ruin.
The black-red tendrils shredded everything in their path.
Vehicles exploded. Soldiers screamed. Buildings crumbled…
There was no defense.
No shelter.
The entire core zone was instantly overwhelmed.
Worst of all—anyone who touched the tendrils was absorbed, devoured, and assimilated.
In less than ten seconds, the entire headquarters of Military Tech had been obliterated.
The armed drone, now hovering safely in the air, recorded the devastation below.
From above, the central building appeared as if an alien monstrosity had emerged—its massive, grotesque body devouring everything.
Covered entirely by black and red appendages, the once-imposing building was now a grotesque ruin.
Watching this from the drone feed, Sarah Han and the others went pale.
They weren't stupid.
Those tendrils matched what they'd seen on Lin Chao's body.
And they had just witnessed the entire disaster unfold in real time.
Lin Chao alone had destroyed the central facility of Military Tech.
"This… this isn't power a human should possess…" Sarah whispered in fear.
If they had made even one wrong decision...
Kangtao could have been wiped out instead.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh…
The tendrils retracted, slithering back into Lin Chao's body.
A torrent of alien memories surged into his mind—fragments from those he had consumed.
The overwhelming flood nearly shattered his consciousness.
For a moment, Lin Chao forgot who he was and what he was doing.
It lasted only a second, but the memories he had absorbed were left jumbled and unclear.
It surprised him—but there wasn't time to dwell on it.
"That direction…"
Using fragments of memory, Lin Chao pinpointed an underground facility buried in the rubble.
"What's he doing now?" Sarah asked as she watched him pull open a heavy slab and descend through an iron door.
Moments later, he reappeared—no longer calm, but in full retreat, panic on his face.
He leapt with such speed he broke the sound barrier, fleeing far from the Military Tech facility.
"That was Lin Chao just now, right?" Sarah asked in disbelief.
"Who else could move like that?" replied David Xu with a bitter smile.
"But… why is he running? And why so panicked?"
They didn't have to wonder long.
The iron door he'd opened slammed shut behind him.
Dust shook loose, revealing a black and yellow radiation symbol on the floor beneath.
"That's… a nuclear stockpile from Military Tech!" the old man gasped.
And before anyone could say another word—
FLASH.
The drone feed went white, then cut to static.
Signal lost.
