EMMA
I refused to eat or obey Xander'sstupid rules. Every tray of food brought to me was pushed away or thrown at the wall. I didn't want their pity. I didn't want their concern. All I wanted was to feel nothing.
But nothing ever came.
Not even peace, though I had borne him a child. A child I never asked for. A child I couldn't hate… but couldn't love either. Not when every kick reminded me of the man who forced it into existence.
"Xander."
The name made my stomach twist.
I still remember the last time I tried to escape the pack… running until my legs gave out, my lungs burning with desperation.
I thought I could outrun the nightmare. But he always found me. Always pulled me back with fists or fake smiles. Always reminded me who held the leash.
He wanted a legacy. A claim. A piece of me that would tie me to him forever.
And he got it through force.
Through the nights I will never forget… no matter how hard I try to scrub them from my skin.
