"Alpha… we can't find her."
I didn't wait for the rest. My fist crashed into the nearest tree, the bark splintering beneath my knuckles as pain shot up my arm. It didn't matter. I deserved it.
It's been two fucking days.
Two whole days since Emma vanished into the woods like smoke, like she was never real to begin with. No scent trail. No clothes. Not a single trace from that night. She just… disappeared.
No matter how fast I ran… how loud I called… she never stopped. Never turned back. Not even when I screamed her name like my soul was tearing apart.
And Olivia… damn that little girl. She wasn't making it any easier. She cried every hour, curled up in the corner refusing to eat or speak unless it was about her sister.
She wouldn't go to school. Wouldn't even let Keila near her sometimes. All she did was blame me and she was right to.
