One month…
One month had gone by since Maxim sent me away. One month had gone by since he last spoke to me or at least the last time we interacted with one another. One month since I swore, I was going to forget him.
It still marveled me how things changed so swiftly, making me wonder what exactly went wrong. We were not on any bad terms, he was trying to not be a jerk to me, yet his behavior switched back to the day I was brought to the pack.
Even though I tried to forget about what happened, about what I saw the night before I left, I just couldn't. My heart stung each time I thought about it, how he had walked out with Annabelle, naked and kissing each other. Each time I remembered it, I would always feel my heart getting stabbed. It hurt no matter how much I tried to ignore it all.
