Layla's body shivered with the intensity of the situation. Thankfully, Michael had taught her some lessons on driving—something for which she felt blessed now. Nonetheless, it didn't reduce her hatred for him any less.
"Faster!" Agnes growled at her, and Layla cursed beneath her breath; it wasn't easy to maneuver a huge-ass SUV for her. The reverse gear's signature sound grew louder until Layla successfully managed to turn the car, with the tires making a screeching sound against the gravel.
"No need to look back!" Agnes asserted, and with a jitter, the car began moving in the forward direction, and soon enough, they attained triple-digit speeds. Agnes noticed the bandage over his left arm; it was still raw, and the reminiscence of his blood was still visible underneath the fabric.
It took no time for Agnes to realize he had been shot. Right at that moment, Razz shot her a deathly glare.
