The first thing Elisa felt was pain.
A dull, persistent throb in her skull, followed by the scratchy pressure of fabric against her cheek. Her mouth was dry. Her head spun like she'd been on the world's worst carnival ride.
She blinked.
Once. Twice.
Light filtered in through the car windows, too bright at first. It made her squint as the blur slowly cleared, her vision adjusting enough to reveal... seats. Leather. She was lying in the backseat of a car, on her side.
Alone.
"What the hell…" she croaked, voice hoarse.
Then it hit her.
The strange man. Glowing eyes. Raven knocking her out . Raven was a werewolf!
Elisa sat up too fast, making the world tilt like a bad dream. She clutched her head, groaning as nausea licked at her throat.
Her breathing quickened. Her chest constricted.
Why had Raven knocked her out?
Where is she?
Who is Raven really??
She reached for the door handle and froze as she looked outside.
